The launch of a brand-new arc in Erin Hunter’s #1 bestselling Warriors series find the Clans navigating an ominous prophecy that foreshadows the destruction of the Moonpool, and the end of the Cats' connection to StarClan.
As Leafbare approaches, a new danger threatens the Clans. Twoleg construction has encroached on Clan territory, poisoning the stream and making prey especially scarce for SkyClan. Meanwhile, their leader, Leafstar, is struggling with a loss of vision while trying to maintain authority over a Clan that increasingly doubts her ability to lead.
In ShadowClan, Tawnypelt senses peril as the Twoleg construction threatens the Moonpool, but she can’t get any cat, especially her son, TigerStar, to listen. Frustrated with the younger cats who don't respect her, she decides to take matters into her own paws.
In the midst of the chaos, Moonpaw, an apprentice struggling to understand the mysterious voice in her head, thinks that she might be having visions. But the voice becomes increasingly sinister, and Moonpaw wonders if it's a sign of darkness on the horizon.

new narrator needs to put in more work on the character voices listen to the previous books to get an idea on how they sound

What kind of cliffhanger?

Most of these reviews will talk about the narrator, and I agree that we will all miss MacLeod Andrews (Star was his last Warriors book). I wish the narrator didn’t make random pauses (it seems like where there’s a page break or a word broken up by the line) and would keep a consistent volume and provide different voices between each character so we can distinguish the difference when we don’t have the books in front of us. However, I do like having a female narrator because all of our POVs this book are female and I think she does them justice.
Good setup to major plot development

The other narrator that usually reads is far more expressive and gives life to the characters in a way that makes it far more enjoyable like you’re listening to an audio drama. Several times it sounded like she should have done another take because you can hear her hesitate or mumble words. Action scenes were read with all the enthusiasm of a rock so that was disappointing. As for the story itself it was pretty good! Looking forward to the next one.
Good story, not a fan of the narrator.
