That’s what I get for trying a book w no reviews (at the time I’m writing this). I’m really not sure which was worse: the predictable storyline w zero likable characters OR the narrators non emotional reading (I can’t even call it a performance). The narration was next level terrible and I’m not sure how much worse it made the actual story but honestly, the story didn’t need too much to push it from pretty bad to basically unlistenable. If you still decide to listen after reading this, don’t say you weren’t warned.

I want my credit back

I’ll start by saying I listen to MANY books in audible. It’s my favorite pass-time. As soon as this book started, it was easy to see the direction it was going, but I kept listening simply because I had wasted a credit to buy it. I listened to every painful minute of it from the dragging story to the predictable plot. But the worst thing about this book BY FAR was the people TRYING to read it to me. I’m going to watch for them and never listen to anything they do again. It was robotic and elementary with mispronunciations galore. I DON’T THINK I’ve ever left a bad review-but this is a warning to the public. Look at who read this and protect yourself from the pain I just endured!

I can’t believe how terrible the narration is. I think the story would be FINE without the horrible narration but this person should never narrate another book ever again. I have no idea how this even got produced. I’ve listened to hundreds of books but this is by far the worst. Do not waste a credit.

Narration is almost Unlistenable

Don’t know if the book was any good! LOVED her book Darlings but the narration in this book was so bad I couldn’t finish it, worse than my 6 year old niece or virtual voice. So disappointed

This story is superb! I highly recommend listening at 1.5x speed or faster for a better listening experience. Or just read the book! Though, Alice’s narrator was fantastic!
