It ain't easy being saved, sanctified, and single. Try being a once divorced, now widowed single mother of two on top of that. Thank God, the Lord built Paige Vanderdale to be able to bear all of those titles without becoming weary to the point of giving up.

From the outside looking in, that life looks good on her. On the inside, though, Paige is coveting what so many others around her seem to have, which is true love. In the past, everything that she thought was love was either something far from it, or was taken away from her. Now Paige is afraid to let her hair down and open herself up to love again.

Paige struggles with the decision to reach out to an old flame to rekindle their spark. When the blaze gets too high, will Paige do what she always does, which is grab the nearest fire extinguisher and try to put it out? Or will she utilize her backup plan and run? The decision is abruptly removed from Paige's hands when something else begins to pull her away - something that just might be the thing that finally breaks her.

This was really an awesome book! I truly enjoyed the storyline and the thought-provoking questions at the end.

The narrator represents the book. I choose books by African-American authors, so I expect the narrator to be African-American. For me, it enhances the story more with the flavor it was written.

This storyline is amazing. It is full of love and forgiveness. The characters are relatable.

The story line appeared to be very interesting and Im still curious about the plot. I had to return this because i could not take the narrator's delivery. It felt like she was trying to kill time, she was just monotone and and when there was some "life" to the character it was dry life. The narration was a big an over whelming factor in not finishing this story. There was no "LIFE" in the delivery.

I don’t know why , the narrator was picked to read this she had no Swag in her voice, she read it like she was reading a children book. No sister girl swag!! Made it hard to listen to. I hope the next one is better I brought all 3.

some parts are drawn out too long other parts the narrator voice is horrible some parts she sounds u experienced other parts she made nettty sound dyslexic

I believe the book could have been better but the narrator sounded very robotic to me. It made the book hard to follow.
