How to thrive in a relationship when you’re the richer half...

For the top-earning woman, the rules are different. She faces a much higher risk for burnout, infidelity, and divorce. In this highly practical audiobook, financial guru and media star Farnoosh Torabi - a breadwinner herself - presents a bold strategy that not only addresses how income imbalances affect relationships and family dynamics, but also how a woman can best manage (and take advantage of) this unique circumstance - emotionally, socially, and financially.

For any ambitious woman!

Loved every minute of it. Certain sections felt repetitive but this was extremely helpful to me and I will be implementing a lot of the advice. Thanks for leading the way Farnoosh!

Well researched data driven presentation

Data driven presentation with positive real life story-lines woven into the narrative. Farnoosh Torabi tackles a topic not yet fully covered in mainstream non-fiction which applies now as it has before and will continue to apply in American culture and beyond for any women who's made more than her husband. My favorite quote featured in the audio book: "run your own race." In other words, don't determine your career relative to your husbands and cultural norms only, but do consider both partner's when making career and financial decisions that are best for the partnership and family for today and for the future.

Just what I needed!

I was at a point in my relationship where I was willing to let societal norms win and leave an otherwise INCREDIBLE man in search of a man who made more than me. So glad I picked this book up for tips and insights on the reality of woman who make more and how to make it work!

Thank you

Thank you for writing the book that I needed. The biblical womanhood culture in Christianity can be tricky to navigate. I was pretty confident about our family choices, but this book helped me to reinforce that we absolutely can do this! Great advice, encouragement and ideas. My husband is a rockstar in so many ways that my friends high-earning husbands are not (necessarily)… thank you for reframing what it means to be “ambitious” and “contribute” to the family in ways that may not be financial. Thanks Farnoosh!

It’s missing content for stepmoms

I really appreciate that Farnoosh wrote this book. It’s a much-needed discussion and she offers validating and useful insights. However this book does not address the complications unique to stepmoms and blended families that would have made it a more inclusive look at women who earn more. As a breadwinning stepmom with no children of my own and 2 stepkids, I felt the conflicts & solutions she addresses often pertained more to women in marriages with biological kids.

A must-read for any woman who works

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Women now have many choices in life. As a woman who grew up with choices that were not so abundant for generations before mine, I am grateful. That said, I still struggle juggling work, home and family issues, all while trying to create financial security for myself and the people I love, and not go crazy trying to do it all. Farnoosh explores so many issues that a woman who needs and/or wants to be financially independent and have a great relationship might encounter. I highly recommend this book for any woman who wants to take a real honest look at money, how it can affect relationships and how to prepare for the role of both in their lives.
