An intelligent assembly of Western lore, strategy, tactics, action, and even a little romance. Nicely done; highly enjoyable. A better L'Amour novel. Narration was transparent (good). I enjoyed it very much.

good book read it in middle school but the 2 books of Mr. la'mour's that need to be audio books are Flint and the Haunted Mesa. it baffles me that they are not already available in audio format.

Another great story by LAmour. Had several weird happenings in the terrain that are later explained but they add to the suspense in the story.
