Publisher's summary

Heen Gru-Bares has been SERIES 5 for most of his adult life, traveling from planet to planet collecting data and filing reports for the CHAIRS, who run the universe.

And then he lands on the planet Firdus for his next assignment, and he meets Borns and Lan Zing and Ziga Mey and Dill Tudd, and something unsettling begins to stir within him, something unnerving and profoundly disruptive. Out of all the planets he's been to over the decades he's been doing this job, what is it about this one particular planet, Firdus, that so subversively affects him like it does?

And then Noon Yeah shows up, and he learns that she's a SIGN 7, sent to Firdus to do a graining, because of his failure to execute the task at hand—it's more than he can bear as what he thought was his life begins to unravel around him....

Will Heen make it through this devastating turbulence?

What will happen to Dill Tudd?

And is all of this a setup, one of the symptoms of a larger malaise that will continue to spread through the entire universe, unless someone does something to stop it?

It's a galactic saga of struggle and survival. It's an interplanetary tale of love, loss, and bread. It's book one of the where'd You Park Your Spaceship? series.

Welcome to Firdus.

Fantastic story of life love and adventure

This fabulous book makes you think and smile and imagine how huge the universe is; all while introducing you to beautiful characters and possibilities. I admire Rob Bell for this creative writing.

Fun meaningful story, somewhat amateurishly read by the author.

Rob Bell fans will love everything about this book, content and style. Personally, I can’t quite decide whether I was more endeared or annoyed when the author stumbled over his sentences or butchered the names he had way too much fun creating (looking at you, Barbara Barabar). Don’t get me wrong: it’s a fun read, the story about grief, love, and redemption is oddly captivating. And Rob Bell is being Rob Bell. But at times I wish there’d been an editor, or someone who looked over the messed up formatting of the kindle version, or an audio person who’d dare to say, Rob, let’s do another take here.

Reminds me of my Grandfather

I absolutely Love the way the author reads the book aloud!! The minor misspoken words (not many) and the way he reacts with his own reading (laughing, etc) feels warm and human. It reminds me of hearing my grandfather read to me. It is warm and comforting. The story is captivating.

Andy Griffiths meets C S Lewis

A joy to listen to with wonderful characters, questions, wisdom and possibilities. I was more happy and playful for the few weeks it took me to listen to it. I laughed more in the day to day - this book is good for the soul.

Sort of like a Philosophical and Heartfelt Hitchhikers and Phantom Tollbooth

This book will be unlike most things you’ve read. The closest comparison I can make is the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Phantom Tollbooth. To enjoy this book, you have to let go of any and all expectations. There is the heartbeat and beauty of humanity woven in and out of each scene and you will find yourself unexpectedly IN DEEP. As absurd as some things may be, you’ll believe it because you’ll feel it…you’ll feel the truth coursing through it all.
