A Gripping Dive into a Notorious True Crime Case

This audiobook offers a chilling exploration of Belle Gunness’s life and the horrifying murders connected to her infamous farm. The detailed narrative captures the dark and unsettling nature of the case while providing insights into the societal context of the time. Bruce Cannon’s narration enhances the eerie atmosphere, keeping me hooked from start to finish. While the book is well-researched, some sections felt a bit repetitive, slightly detracting from the flow. It’s an engrossing listen for true crime enthusiasts intrigued by historical mysteries and psychological analysis.

Belle Gunnes

I really like true crime stories. I grew up listening to Paul Harvey’s The Rest of the Story, watching Unsolved Mysteries, and The Forensic Files. I envisioned the book would go along those lines. It starts off well. It is clear the author did excellent research into the crimes for Belle Gunness, a notorious serial killer. I found the insight into the killer’s psychological profile interesting. However, the book quickly became repetitive and drawn out. I received a free copy of the audiobook, and am voluntarily leaving my review.
