Publisher's summary

"Come on, Tiger. Claw me up."

Hawke doesn’t talk about his past—and it’s not because he has a stutter that rarely lets him speak more than three words at a time.

The shadows of what was haunt his every waking hour, but the Broken Chains MC have been a sanctuary he never expected. And Hawke is the sort of man who knows better than to cross lines, especially when it comes to the safety of his brothers.

But when Jax, the VP of the Cobras, looks at him like he’s a whole man instead of shattered pieces of the person he was before he left his home behind, he can’t help but want to be just a little bit wicked.

Broken Chains MC is a Motorcycle Club romance series best enjoyed in order. It contains dubious morality, mild violence, and happily ever afters.

Great storyline!

So I’m ass backwards with this series and started with Jax and Hawke’s story first so I have absolutely no idea of their backstory or history leading to where they are now. Either way, the storyline was engaging and intriguing, though I have a feeling there’s more to Hawke than what’s revealed in this one.

Jax and Hawke have an interesting relationship, especially with being from separate MC’d, their attraction was not deterred. It’s always exciting to read about a character finally discovering their worth, which is exactly what Jax did for Hawke.

The narrator was my only downfall as he did absolutely nothing to impress me. Maybe because club members I’ve known have a distinctive persona and rough, edgy voice, and John’s voice was too soft to fulfill this purpose.

Good story. Good narration.

We finally get Hawke's story and it is just as tragic as all the other members of the Broken Chains MC. It takes some very creative writing to get me interested in stories about motorcycle clubs I grew up in an area where they were the source of crime, and my encounters with MC members were rarely pleasant. E.M. Lindsey has an interesting way of showing how the Broken Chains MC is turning negativily viewed counterculture into a positive way of life. I have been pulled into the story by the characters and the narration. I am very interested in seeing how this ends.

A steamy, action-packed MC romance!

I've liked all the books in this series, but Hawke and Jax's story is the first one that I really loved. I don't know if it's because I'm invested in the overall MC storyline or because I connected with these characters more, but wow was their romance captivating. The rough power play these two engaged in was right up my alley, and I felt the intensity of their connection from the start. I thought the balance between adrenaline-pumping action, steamy nights, and hurt/comfort was nicely done, and it was viscerally exciting to see the Broken Chains get some justice after all the chaos that had been unleashed on them. I'm all fired up to see how these guys are going to take out Hydra, and I'm really excited that Rory's romance is going to be the one to close out this series!

WICKED by E.M. Lindsey is the fourth book in the Broken Chains MC series and is Hawke and Jax's story.

Hawke and Jax are from different MC's but that doesn't deter their attraction to each other. As things begin to heat up between them, Jax will have to decide between his MC or Hawke.

Hawke and Jax's story is a good continuation of the Broken Chains MC series and a good lead into the next book. I love how Jax helps Hawke realize that he is more than his past made him feel like he was.

I am excited to see what happens next in this series. Although the Broken Chains books can standalone, I highly recommend reading the series in order for more enjoyment.

John Solo did a really good job of giving a voice to Hawke and Jax and bringing their story to life.

4 Maple Leafs for WICKED which contains mm, mc, dark, disability, and dual third-person point of view.

Great story!

I really like this series. It’s full of characters who are gruff, imperfect, and have interesting backgrounds. This story is about Hawk (mostly mute) and Jax who is from a club the Broken Chains are trying to make alliances with. You can read this story as a stand alone. The club is full of people who have distinct differences from the typical motorcycle club- missing limbs, deaf, mute, blind, and mostly gay men. A bad guy from a previous book rears his dirty no-good head and the men are out for blood. John Solo does a good job with this story, but it is hard to distinguish and see in your mind when someone is signing vs. when people are speaking. Yes, I know fluency of word and thought shouldn’t matter whether spoken or signed. The storyline, however, sometimes depends on these clues. I do have to say that Solo does an excellent job with Hawk’s actual verbalizations. If you’re looking for syrupy sweet and tender then you might want to choose a different book. Almost no angst, no hearts and flowers. This story has a bit of sadism and masochism, with light power play (BDSM). Love takes many forms even if the words are never said aloud.
