Publisher's summary

Ivy Morgan is happy with who she is, and what she can do. She certainly doesn't need to second guess her life, or her witchy ways... that is, until Shadow Lake's newest police detective enters her life.

Jack Harker is haunted by a past he refuses to talk about, and he's not looking forward to a future with anyone - especially a sassy witch with boundary issues.

Jack and Ivy find their paths crossing on a regular basis when a dead body is discovered on the edge of Ivy's property. Jack doesn't want any romantic entanglements, but there's just something about Ivy that keeps drawing him in.

When the truth is finally revealed, Jack has to decide what he believes - and he has to do it before a murderer turns his attention to Ivy.

Can Ivy heal Jack's wounds? Will she even get a chance to try?

Lovely surprise

I was looking for something light & easy. Was surprised how quickly the characters charmed me. The story was a bit predictable. But the characters more than made it worth the listen. The narrator was also surprisingly quircky & charming with the different voices she used. Over all a lovely surprise

Narration not good

Enjoyed the story line but the narration was terrible. Male voices were awful. Too bad.

Great story, lovable characters!

What did you love best about Wicked Days?

The story was awesome and I loved how she was very particular in making sure to tell the truth about Wiccans.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ivy, of course, I've always wanted to have a green thumb and be closer to nature like her.

What does Angel Clark bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voices and the expressive voices that could easily be missed reading a book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh in a lot of places.

Not your average witchy novel Feminist grade: A-

My favorite part about the novel is that it is not following the tropes for witch novels and heck, this isn't even your typical urban fantasy/paranormal novel! You get invested fast! I will at first, I was skeptical, but after the 1st chapter, I was in.

Great story but painful to listen to

I loved the story and it was well written. It was however, painful to listen to. The narrator gave a stilted conversation and read. It was like it was narrated as she was reading. There were no indications they were real conversation but a written script. The script was a good story though. I've seen this happen with other books where the writer does a great job and the narrator rips it to pieces. I have heard worse as well as better but narration like this does not help the listener want to continue with the story, no matter how good it is. I hope this writer moves forward but finds a different narrator.

Book ok

The book itself was ok not the greatest I've read but keeps you entertained without to much dark themes annoying characters etc I just really can't stand the narrator her female voice always reminds me of jr high students and her male voices like drag queens

A bit young...

Not a bad story, the characters were a bit High School ish though, even the "older" characters. The main characters were suppose to be in their 20s but definitely were not written that way.
