Publisher's summary

In the heart of Ransom Canyon, sometimes the right match for a lonely soul is the one you least expect.

Dan Brigman may not lead the most exciting life, but he's proud of what he's achieved: He's a respected lawman, and he's raised a bright, talented daughter on his own. But finding a lone sparkly blue boot in the middle of a deserted highway gets him thinking maybe the cowgirl who lost it is exactly the shake-up he needs.

After losing her baby girl, Brandi Malone felt like her soul died along with her daughter. Now singing in small-town bars to make ends meet, she's fine being a drifter - until a handsome sheriff makes her believe that parking her boots under his bed is a better option.

College grad Lauren Brigman has just struck out on her own in downtown Dallas when a troubling phone call leads her back home to Crossroads. Her hometown represents her family, friends, and deepest hopes, but also her first love, Lucas Reyes. Will Lauren's homecoming be another heartbreak, or a second chance for her and Lucas?

Wild Horse Spring

This is another good book in this series. This is book number five. All of them has been good . It's best to listen to them in order. In this book the sheriff takes a liking to a singer. Thad gets arrested for stealing some food but he didn't steal it . He was returning it because a young girl stole it. Lauren the sheriff's daughter comes back to town. Someone wants Thatcher dead and tries to kill him while he's in jail. He escapes. There is a ranger in this book that ties into everything. There is a little girl that's being abused. They have to rescue her to. Everything comes together at the end and makes sense. There is a good showdown at the end of the book. Julia Gibson does a great job narrating this book. Thatcher

I love Thatcher, Tim & Lauren. I really want Tim to be happy & successful as a writer. Also, the Reed storyline needs to be resolved.
As much as I liked Lucas at the beginning of the series. I find him to be selfish & arrogant. The fact that he expects Lauren to wait until he is happy & satisfied with his life is not fair
He’s been selfish & expecting Lauren to wait for him.

It All Started with a Blue Boot

I start reading one of Jodi Thomas' books because of the great hook. In Wild Horse Springs it all starts with a sparkling blue boot in the middle of the highway. One of American's most talented author, Thomas' humor delights me,but the characters keep me coming back book after book, series after series. Finding this book features Dan Brigman falling In love, makes it one of the best.

A Wild Ride

Another Jodi Thomas story that will take you on a wild ride in and around Crossroads Texas. With Texas size characters both good and bad, unpredictable twists and turns, laugh out loud moments, heart wrenching discoveries and plenty of life and love, this is one of my Jodi Thomas favorites. If you like series, this is one of the best in Jodi Thomas' Ransom Canyon series. It can just as easily be read as a standalone novel. Either way, don't miss this beautiful love story. The audible version is well done.

great book

This was everything I hoped for. A good story of Crossroads. I wish we had seen more of the people from the previous novels but then the book would be 1000 pages!

I love Jodi Thomas. I have read all of her books and this one was wonderful !

I tried to save it but ...

Disappointed with Lauren’s storyline

Still a great read but I am starting to get frustrated with Lauren’s character. From a bright precocious fifteen year old she grows up to become a homely and shy young woman who doesn’t get much life and still can’t get over her teenage crush.
I just don’t understand why Jodi Thomas decided to make her so boring and pathetic compared to sophisticated and high achieving Lucas. I know they will end up together at some point but to me, their whole love story was messy and unrealistic.
