Trouble in Tombstone Town, Book 7

Minnie Crockwell has finally made it to southeastern Arizona, land of sunshine and warmth, and steeped in the history of the Apaches and the Cavalry, legendary lawmen, outlaws, and gunfights.

Ben is enthralled with tales of the Old West, and Minnie promises him a trip to Tombstone, home of the Gunfight at the OK Corral and Boothill Graveyard! Shortly after setting out her pink flamingos at Tombstone Tommy’s RV Park, Minnie meets a fellow female RVer who invites herself along on the outing. But a reenactment gunfight gone terribly wrong and the disappearance of her new friend, Kathy, threaten to ruin Minnie’s plans for fun under the sun.

Trouble in Cochise Stronghold, Book 8

Minnie Crockwell, having recently solved a murder in Tombstone, doesn’t run screaming from southeastern Arizona. She opts to stay at Tombstone Tommy’s RV Park for a little bit longer, determined to do some sightseeing.

The mystical Dragoon Mountains, historic hideout of the legendary Apache chief Cochise, draw her in, and she sets out to explore Cochise Stronghold with Ben. But she makes it only about a mile into the canyon before she discovers a body floating in a deep well along the trail.

Trouble in Orange Beach, Book 9

Minnie Crockwell is finally heading for the beach!

Orange Beach is a lovely little town on the Gulf Coast, and Minnie and Ben have just arrived in time for Mardi Gras, a fun-filled time of parades and festivities. Looking forward to some rest, relaxation, and amusement at Sandy Shores RV Park, Minnie hopes that no one dies by violence during her stay in the tranquil beach town.

Unfortunately for both Minnie and the victim, she finds a body on the beach - the husband of the RV park manager. No accidental drowning, the poor man has been murdered...stabbed and left to die. Was it a random killing by a stranger on a dark beach? Or did someone he knew target him? And if so, why?

Will Travel for Trouble (Box set 7-9) by Minnie Crockwell is a continuation of Minnie’s RV adventures in Arizona and Alabama. It is a great series and so well written that I feel like I am traveling with Minnie and Ben, the resident ghost! The narration by Michelle Babb is outstanding. She creates unique voices for the characters, including the southern accents in Alabama. Ms. Babb’s performance is so well done makes me feel that I am listening to a play with many actors! Great books and great narration!

Minnie and her traveling partner, Ben, a 19th-century ghost are enjoying spending time traveling to the different campgrounds in their RV. This time around they are exploring the wild west and then they head south of Mardi Gras.

These are quick paced fun storylines. The characters of Minnie and Ben have great chemistry and the mysteries are full of twist and turns. Cozy mystery fans will enjoy these books. The mysteries can be enjoyed as stand-alone stories but the characters are better understood when the series is read in order.

Narrator Michell Babb is fantastic once again as she is a natural storyteller. She is great with accents and timing. She really brings the story to life.

Poor Minnie!She can not get a vacation without finding a body.She 'tries' to stay out of the police business,but they seldom see what she sees.She can go from Arizona to Alabama and the bodies just find her and her ghost buddy.At least the last one is on a beach.lol Michelle Babb was a very good narator. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

Minnie seems to find herself condstantly find herself right in the middle of a mystery everywhere she goes. This series can be read in any order and as standalone stories, but it’s best in order so that the side plots make the most sense.

This book was a pleasure to listen to and I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.

Minnie Crockwell and her ghostly companion, Ben, are on the road again, this time headed for warmer climes as the winter months arrive. Their first stop is Tombstone Tommy's RV Park, the nicest RV park near Tombstone, Arizona.

When they head into Tombstone with Kathy Swanson, another woman staying at the RV park, they watch a "Shootout at the OK Corral" reenactment that goes horribly wrong. And everyone in the reenactment group seems to have had a possible motive for killing the reenactor who was shot with a real bullet instead of a blank.

Minnie's ex, John, continues to email her, with increasing hints that he might want to renew their relationship. Minnie is both interested, and feeling guilty, because, of course, her major problem with Ben is not that she doesn't want him in her life, but that, being a ghost, he doesn't have any physical presence.

After the disturbing events in Tombstone, Minnie is still not ready to move on from Tombstone Tommy's, but doesn't want to spend any more time in Tombstone for a while, so she and Ben shift their sightseeing to Cochise Stronghold, last refuge and probable burial place of the Apache chief Cochise. It's a popular location for hiking and camping now, and of course, Minnie being Minnie, in the course of their hiking, she and Ben find a dead body. Minnie learns more than she perhaps wanted about the use of bows and arrows, also learn something about poaching, and Ben manages a more physical manifestation than he ever has previously.

Perhaps it's not surprising that after this experience, they head south, for the Alabama Gulf Coast. Minnie is able to get a spot in an RV park for just one week, because Mardi Gras is that week and one of the regulars has gone elsewhere for the week--it is of course the busy season on the Gulf Coast. Minnie likes the first few people she meets in the RV park, including Billie, the woman who manages the place.

Then she learns that Billie drinks and drives, some of the regulars regard Billie's drinking as a serious problem and want her husband, Carl, to do something about it, and then, in a peaceful late walk on the beach, Minnie finds Carl's dead body.

Even Minnie is starting to have doubts about the peripatetic lifestyle of living in her RV and traveling the country.

Minnie of course remains incurably curious, not to say nosy, about everyone connected to the deaths she keeps stumbling over, and keeps ignoring Ben's generally excellent advice. Yet she's kind, generous, and friendly, and that's a big part of why she can't leave the deaths to the police when she thinks she's in a position to learn something.

I like Minnie, I like Ben, and John seems pretty promising, too. I look forward to more of Minnie and Ben's adventures, and I confess a certain curiosity about what will happen if Ben and John are ever able to meet.

Michelle Babb remains an excellent narrator who adds extra enjoyment to every book she narrates, which of course is why I never turn down a chance to review a book she narrates.

Minnie and Ben are off to new RV parks, (I am totally wondering if RV parks are safe). This time they land in Tombstone, what a fun adventure that turns into! If you like the old west this is defiantly a must listen. Cochise Stronghold is another fun listen with its bits of history about the area. Last but certainly not least is Orange Beach. They arrive just in time to celebrate Mardi Gras in the beautiful setting until another murder happens. The narration is so fun and really brings the series to life.

Great cozy box set! Love the characters and the storyline. Books 7-9 in the series but would work great as a stand-alone. Minnie always seems to find trouble and it’s great! Lol
