Publisher's summary

Winning the Second Civil War is based on the current threat demonstrated in the 2020 Antifa/BLM riots and current unrest including the storming of the US Capitol, exacerbated by the deep problems with the 2020 election. The book includes analysis of the history, legality, and consequences of violent protest. It explores what the founders contemplated, what has been attempted before, and how those things influence what is playing out now. Both the left and right have some level of insurgency underway, and it will be helpful to examine them in that light. It also requires looking at them as unique creations of our current political and cultural climates as well. Even in their extreme positions both still have considerable influence on and acceptance in their larger political movements.

Excellent Read, Scary Topic

Parts of the book are outdated but still relevant confirmations. Excellent read and diagnosis of the current political atmosphere in the USA (or the DSA).

Second civil war, hope not.

Fantastic book! This should be required reading for every republican candidate. And office holder. While we’re at it every college student.

outdated

I thinkn8ts obvious that this was written long before much of the truth came out about jan6 . now that the truth has come out that the only person who was actually killed that day was ashli abbot who was killed by a capitol police officer while her unarmed 5'2" person presented no threat at all to anyone whatsoever. and now that the Durham report has been released proving that the FBI colluded with the Clinton campaign and foreign powers to make a.ericans think Trump had done, well, exactly what they were doing, and since the left and the media have just flatly denied everything about that report and say it proves Maga Republicans and Trump supporters really are domestic terrorists who will destroy America, I would really like to hear what the author has to say about all of this. and do you still believe there is any hope of saving this nation through diplomatic and political means alone?
