Growing up my favorite actor was John Wayne. One of my favorite authors was Louis Lamore. I grew up in the south west among a family of ranchers and farmers. I know the kind of people who in the 1800's set out chasing the setting sun. Hondo Jinx has captured the spirit and maner of that people perfectly in this book and thrown them into a high fantasy world. If you like good books with a novel approach and excellent delivery don't hesitate GET THIS BOOK.

Wrangler is a great mix of adult western and fantasy genres. The main character is everything you would want an old west cowboy to be.

Adam Golds narration is absolutely perfection for this book. You can just feel the old west dripping from each word. His is the voice that you imagine our protagonist to have. I can't recommend this listen higher.

Seven hours in and only two sex scenes! I do like the story. Just not what I was looking for.

At first, I was a bit thrown as I was not expecting a harem novel, and I wasn't expecting it to be narrated by a cowboy. Once I got past my preconceived notions, there is actually a decent story being told. The sexual content is a bit intense and sometimes a bit wordy, but not horrible. The narrator at first got on my nerves with his cowboy twang, but once I got used to it, the narration was consistent, smooth, and easy to listen to. I do like the strong MC instead of the wimpy second-guessing twerp who is in this type of fantasy novel whether it's a harem story, LitRPG, or D&D story quite often. The author got lucky, I'm in the middle of a big job and book 1 ended a couple of hours into my work day, so spending a credit to get book 2.

This is Hondo’s best book yet! A fantasy book that is as country as biscuits and gravy! Absolutely loved this book. Narration was excellent!

It is definitely not for children... like 21 and over kind of book. This book gets so spicy that you may want to losten to it when the kids are in bed, or your just... alone. Its almost like that sexy book cover, you use to cover up because you didnt want everyone to know what you were reading of what type of book it was lol.

Outside of that, its a unique story because its westeen meets fantasy. Theres no leveling up announcements, or crunching numbers, but there are points where... they are like: you we do this we will gain power and some have abilities. Otherwise, theres just a guy and his rescuee trying to carve a life for themselves in this new world. Him more than her at first, and while doing so, things get real interesting for him.

P.S. If you dont like explicit sex scenes described, in detail, for you... don't read this or fastward a bit

Hondo Jinx does it again with another great haremlit series! Another MC who handles/wrangles any problem that comes his way. It may take some grit, but that’s how things get done. Keep it coming Hondo!

I thought the story was ok and the narration was good but Elizabeth was toxic. I understand all characters are not perfect but in a situation where life or death is a question every day.
The beauty of any person is not a factor when they are a bitch in every way . Could not finish because the character interactions were just to unrealistic
