Inspiring Story of How Brokenness Leads to Bold Faith

Jesus promises peace and trouble for his followers. But most of us accept the peace and are confused and angry when adversity comes our way.

All-American soccer star Mo Isom knows the struggle firsthand. While her life seemed like a success, she was battling an eating disorder, the suicide of her father, and a horrific car accident. It wasn't until God wrecked her life that she discovered the glory of renewal through Jesus Christ and that wreckage can be sacred rather than scarring. Listeners take the journey from broken to bold with her and learn to surrender their lives to the king who was wrecked on their behalf.

Wreck my Life Jesus

WoW, I’ve read Good books - however few has really inspired me. This book here has brought me to a new awareness of my life, my past and present. It has helped me view my ‘wrecks’ so very differently. I also realize I haven’t been the only one who feels out of whack with things, yet I totally absorbed the Glory healing and freedom in forgiving and loving. This is what wrecks brings us to, our brokenness reveals the true plans of Jesus. Also to truly serve Him you must be broken

Thanks Mo for writing this book, although millions may have it, I feel it was written just for me 😉🥰

Discipleship in the making!!

From start to finish, every word, every sentence, every moment the author, the daughter, Mo shares with us, is a bridge from God. This book- this LIFE, not only brought tears but brought victory to my eyes. I cannot thank you enough for sharing your own life, your wreckage has helped me acknowledge and face my own. May God bless you immensely...always Mo. Thank you.

Couldn't Stop Listening!

I first "discovered" Mo accidentally as I was watching YouTube videos on LSU soccer -I was intrigued, so I started watching and reading about her story and I was blown away at her message. I showed My daughter who was 8 at the time some videos of her and she seemed to instantly connect with her...2 years later, we've kept up with Mo on Facebook and such, and when her book came out, Elissa put it high on her Christmas list! I wanted to listen to it first in case there were things in it she shouldn't hear right now...and all I can say is I guess it's really up to each parents' discretion if they're thinking about giving it to their child, and the child's maturity level. I don't want to give away any of the book and I don't want to steer anyone away by all means-there are a couple of mature words used (porn, masturbation) but keep in mind this is a CHRISTIAN-based book(!) and in its context is not inappropriate, I promise! I found myself remembering my own young adulthood and the moment I realized how unexpected and treacherous paths can sometimes lead to something even better than we ever could have imagined, if we just have faith and realize we are truly not the ones in control, hard as we try sometimes. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm so glad it was Mo who read it! It was awesome :)

Officially on my favorite list

This book is such a relatable story of Mo’s testimony- full of hard things that seem more common and others that are unimaginable for many of us. Laced through the story of her relationship with God is biblical truth that is challenging and encouraging. I can relate to various parts of her struggles through her story. Her effective articulation of how she continued to seek God’s will is incredibly inspiring. I highly recommend this book and will definitely be passing it on to friends!

Inspiring

Mo Isom makes you feel like you’re a spectator in her life, watching her commit mistakes and amend them through Christ. It makes a sinful world feel less scary when people like Mo are guiding lost souls back to Jesus. Her words and her connection to God throughout the book is impeccable.
My favorite line from the book & words to live by: “I tried to fill a God-sized hole with sin-sized pieces.”

Well written and love Mo’s voice...

I knew part of Mo’s story and knew I would find hope in it reading this book. What I didn’t expect is how well written it would be. Mo points you to God’s word and encourages each of us to share our stories.

Incredible journey

Mo, thank you for your story and incredible transparency. In a world where it's common to hid behind filters and lies, your authenticity is incredible.

I am currently going through a year where God has wrecked my life and I understand that eventually it will be used for his glory. I'm recovering from a bad car accident and still have a bit of post concussion syndrome, but this was the first book in a year that I completed, much less read within a three day span! Must-read especially if you are in need of inspiration while in a dark place.

Wonderfully descriptive,honest book

Mo bravely lays her heart on the table on so many issues she is redeemed from. She shares how she was healed from each one. That healer is always Jesus. This book is applicable to both women and men of all ages. She is a gifted weaver of words and I couldn't stop listening til it was done. Can think of so many people in my life that this book would help. Love the chapter on forgiveness. She is wise beyond her years. Looking forward to her next book " Sex, Jesus and Conversations the church forgot"
