I listened to the audible version of this book and the narration was fantastic. Arielle DeLisle really made the characters come alive for me. I'm sure I would have enjoyed reading the book just as much, though.

I love the characters and their very distinct personalities. Though some are not very likeable at first, once you get to know them, they become more endearing, which is actually the premise of the story. Don't be so quick to judge others before you actually know them. When trouble arises, it is their unique individual qualities that help them overcome adversity.

Though this story is written at a young teen level, there is a bit too much strong language and sexual content for that age group, in my opinion. I think it would be better suited for a more mature or older teen, but as a senior grandma, I enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading the sequel.

Relationships Struggles but not just Teenage Drama! There is Parental Good vs Parental Bad! A very close knit Family verses a Very Disfunctional Family! And a whole lot of “Life Can Quickly Get MESSY” when taking a Business Cruise with your Family! Throw in a little Titanic, Little Robinson Caruso And Drug Smugglers And you’ve got a page Turner of a Story! Enjoy! 😀💜💙

High School Love

I LOVED this book! The story was totally gripping, I never thought that I would have been so hooked on a story about a bunch of school kids- it was such a pleasant "read" and made my trips to and from the office much more pleasant. It was funny, sad, scary and thrilling all in one. The voice over artist was fantastic, I have listened to many books and I found her to be the easiest to listen to by far. Now if only I could get Reckless on Audible too!!

What made the experience of listening to Wrecked the most enjoyable?

I loved this story as a young adult story! The characters are fun and you learn so much about them; Candi, Sarah, Kevin, and Jonathan. The narrator did a great job of moving from one voice to the next and distinguishing between them was easy! Elle Casey is a great story teller and I love ALL her books that I have had the pleasure of reading!

What does Arielle DeLisle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Great characterization between male/female characters.

Any additional comments?

Recommend if you like fun, light-hearted, young adult, adventurous novels!

Loved the story, till my husband set me straight on a few facts. Like: the black box is connected to the life boat, it is automatically goes off when the boat hits the water...... Anyway it's still a good story though. Well read, nice rythm to the reading.

This was my first audio book! I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. Elle has written another hit and I can't wait to read the next book!

Would you listen to Wrecked again? Why?

Yes, I would. I enjoyed my first experience with an audible book and will definitely get more.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked Elle Casey's skill at conveying how teenagers think and act in certain situations. I also liked how she portrayed their innocence and exploration of how scary it can be to experience love and sexual feelings for this age group.

What does Arielle DeLisle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Arielle gave life to the characters through the use of her voice and captured the emotions perfectly.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, when Candy realizes the bond between herself and Sarah and how important it is.

Any additional comments?

I think certain issues could have been explored a little more, such as the characters asking about their parents as soon as they knew they had to get in the lifeboats. Candy and Jonathan were close to their parents, so they especially should have been worried about their safety. Also, Jonathan and Candy's parents accepting their son getting Sarah pregnant and letting her live there was kind of glossed over. I think a conversation between them and the parents would have been more realistic.

I LOVE Elle Casey's books, but when I first downloaded a sample of this book I wasn't sure about it. The first main character we heard from got on my nerves a little so I never finished reading it. I'm very sorry that I didn't now!

The narrator was perfect! She really helped to get me in to the story. By 1/4 of the way through I was in love with the characters and couldn't wait to see what happened next. The story was a little cheesy but a lot of fun and I'm glad I finally got to hear it. I can't wait to listen to the next book!

Audio book sold me on a title I wasn't sure about

so being that this is my first audio book I had a hard time finishing. I don't have Bluetooth in my car so I had to make an effort to listen more. I gutta that is a me problem. I loved the story. the narration was excellent but being that it is Elle Casey it does not surprise me. I have not read anything yet of hers I didn't like.
