Publisher's summary

Do you struggle to write every day? Many people dream of becoming a successful author, but can't *find* the time to write. The truth is this: Great writers don't have more time than you do. They make time to write. Not only do they make time, they also follow specific routines that help them avoid writer's block altogether.

By developing the "writing habit" you'll have the confidence to sit down in front of a computer every day, knowing the words will come.

Your Goal:: Write 2,000 Words a Day - Every Day!One of the key factors to effectively developing any habit is choosing a specific, measurable goal. So if you want to become a prolific writer, then you'll need to choose a specific word count for each day. While I *suggest* 2,000 words as a goal, you can pick any number that fits in with your busy schedule. You might choose 500 or 1,000 words a day. Or, you might have more time than I do (or write faster than I do) and choose to write 3,000 or 10,000 words each day. The important thing is to establish a daily word count goal and then stick to it.

In Writing Habit Mastery you'll learn how to incorporate writing into your daily routine. What you'll get is a strategy and list of tools that will help you develop a sustainable writing habit and demolish writer's block.

Keep Pen and Paper close!

Any additional comments?

This audio book was very short but jammed pack with information. I listened to it from my desk with a pen and paper to write it all down. I will definitely be reading this again and ordering more books by SJ Scott!

If you want more great info from this author, he has a blog. I read a post about breaking bad habits that was amazing! Great stuff!

encouraging

this is a straightforward encouraging book about how to focus and write daily.

this is nothing new, but I love the way he presented it and I always need something to kind of give me a kick in the rear when I'm moving slow.

I might even look at some of his other nonfiction books because of this.

I do recommend this book if you need something to keep you motivated.

Great work!

SJ Scott is a baller! Short, direct to the point books...this is like the 10th SJ Scott I've read this year.
I am one of the best-selling writers in Amazon Brazil and I owe it to SJ all he thought me about habits, especially how to master the 2K words a day habit.

Short and concise

I listened to this as preparation for NaNoWriMo and got a lot of help in establishing a daily writing habit.

It felt like the author had interviewed me personally about my procrastination struggle and had then given me actionable steps to follow.

Audio books are hard for me to bookmark so I have also downloaded the ebook version for highlighting purposes.

As with anything like this, it's up to you to implement them, but based on the common sense nature of the author's advice, anyone serious about the idea will find an effective tool kit here.
