About this listen

The first body is torn apart, blood and flesh discovered across both state and federal lands. As the victims multiply, a pattern emerges—each is related to past cases investigated by Laurel Snow, with the assist of Huck Rivers, Washington Fish and Wildlife captain. When friends and loved ones are targeted, things become even more chillingly personal.

As Laurel and Huck team up again to navigate the gruesome and increasingly bizarre killings, they must also keep a safe distance from Laurel's half-sister, Abigail, a dangerously clever sociopath. Ever since their father reappeared in town, Abigail has been convinced she must protect Laurel from his malignant narcissism—a scourge she's sure they've both inherited. Huck is not spared either as a shocking development in the case touches his own life.

With the murders, and the suspects, multiplying around them, and the lives of everyone in their orbit at stake, only Laurel's sharp analytic skills, Huck's deep gut instincts, and their growing bond will enable them to face the demons within and the threats without—before they're next on an elusive killer's hit list . . .

Excellent narration for ALL the characters.

I really enjoy this series, these characters, the complexity of the stories. This one, focusing more on Huck, is another winner.

Serial killer or rather killers? Laurel Snow really has her hands full here.

I still LOVE Laurel Snow!

I got so much pleasure when listening to this one. I gotta say, I didn't see that ending coming! How satisfying. Bring on the next one (I guess next year). Loved it. Laurel is such a wonderful character and she and Huck are still great together. Well done.

phenomenal story

I'm not even sure where to begin however, WOW! This is the 4th book in the Laurel Snow series and I have to say each book is better than the previous one! I am not going to go into what specifically happens in the story because I do not like to give away spoilers however, there were so many twists and turns in this book that I was kept guessing the entire time! I absolutely love Laurel and Huck, they make a perfect couple. The things that they had to overcome in this book is just heart-wrenching. The story was written with excellent detail, phenomenal characters, and the perfect mixture of romance, mystery, and suspense. I read the ebook and listened to the audiobook and both versions are phenomenal! The narrator did a phenomenal job bringing the book to life. Rebecca Zanetti is such a gifted writer, and I am ready for more in this series. Offhand, I don't recall if there will be more books in this series but I certainly hope there will. My suggestion would be to read all four books because I have no doubt that most people will love the stories! I highly recommend any book written by this author!

When the killings hit too close to home, it puts special FBI agent Laurel Snow on edge. Well as on edge as Laurel can get. Murderer is on the loose, and the bodies are starting to pile up. Each of the mysterious deaths can be tied to something of a past case of either Laurel or fish and wildlife captain Huck. With almost all of her team on the sidelines and Huck being pulled off the case and local reporter and podcaster stirring the pot so much that she brings attention to herself, Laurel is determined to get this case solved.

You Can Kill is the thrilling, page turning, newest installment of the Laurel Snow series. I feel we see Laurel, more vulnerable in this particular story than we have throughout the rest of the series. As the murders of the story hit very close to home, we see Laurel trying to protect those. She loves most while, still taking her job very seriously. As she feels, she knows who’s behind this particular set of crimes. There’s some around her that don’t want their secrets revealed. Laurel and Huck have a tremendous amount of growth within their relationship, and I love seeing how they are as a couple. Rebecca Zanetti has created a very intricate world within this series. Laurel is not your typical lead lady, but even with all of her quirks and intricacies she has been one of my favorite female characters.
