Kept my attention all the way through

The author is very easy to listen to and provides excellent analogies and stories to drive his point home. I plan on listening to more of his work.

Eye-opening and highly recommended!

This book redefined social anxiety for me. My first thought was, "I love people! I don't have social anxiety!" In a no-nonsense manner, the author got right to the point as to where I was struggling and offered practical suggestions for turning things around. At first, I thought the author's accent would put me off, but it was quite charming. I listened to the whole book straight through. Will be listening a second time, slower, with notebook in hand to take down all the information! Highly recommend for people struggling with people pleasing and setting healthy boundaries. There are a few swear words here and there, but nothing that is off-putting.

I could relate to a lot of his stories

I didn’t think this book would impact me as much as it did. He had a nice way of wording everything and his stories hit home for me. I found that I was able to relate to him and the experiences he shared. I did find it difficult to get through one of the first chapters about social media and celebrities but he made good points and I’m happy I kept listening because the book got so much better. One thing I admired that I wasn’t expecting, is he didn’t just talk about social anxiety but went above and beyond in explaining to quit letting people treat you like crap. I loved his advice on how to fix social anxiety situations and I hope to put in the work to practice it. I highly recommend this book.

Extremely helpful and enlightening for me.

I'm not saying I'm all better but I'm in a very uncomfortable place mentally. Which is a good thing! I was able to step back and look at my life and my choices. This book really opened my eyes and I can feel the change in me.
