Publisher's summary

The single best tool every entrepreneur needs to build, boost, and grow their business.

Beyond technology, software, social media networks, even advertising and marketing campaigns, the biggest and best tool you'll ever have in your belt is a book with your name on the cover.

Authority and credibility: Nothing establishes your authority faster or better, making it easier to attract investors, clients, and customers.

Brand recognition: Nothing makes your name and your brand easier to recognize, giving you greater reach with no additional overhead.

The ultimate business card: We're hard-wired to hold on to books, to keep and care for them, and to share them with others. When's the last time someone did that with your business card?

You Must Write a Book introduces you to these concepts, and digs further - revealing not only the benefits of how a book can help you to build and grow your business and your brand, but how you can put your ideas on the page.

You'll learn:

  • Why a book matters to your business
  • Pre-planning and strategic thinking, before putting even the first word on the page
  • How to write your book by committing to only a few words per day
  • How to hire ghostwriters or other professionals to get your ideas on the page without writing a word
  • The steps for launching your book like a champ
  • Marketing plans, both for your book and using your book to market yourself and your business

You'll also learn from the masters - gain insight from some of the most advanced thinkers in publishing so that you can skip level one and build from their success.

Get in on the wisdom from thought leaders such as Hal Elrod, Bryan Cohen, Pat Petrini, J.A. Huss, Steve Scott, James Altucher, Kevin Tumlinson, and many more.

Packed with a ton of useful informationn

I really like this book a lot. The author packed in a lot of information into this audiobook that gives the first tme author all the ammunition to come out swinging. I purchased this book as I just started down the path of writing my book, and it motivated me to keep plugging away everyday towards the goal.

Similar to TMM for Writers

If you've read TMM for Writers, this one is very similar. A few new points and strategies. It's VERY business and sales oriented, so if you're looking for a book about writing a novel or memoir, this isn't much help. It does offer some good info on publishing, so it's worth looking at.

Handy resource

The focus of this book is to make money and advance your career by writing books, thus it has some repetition in it. However, there are plenty of examples and Online resources And tips mentioned That you can dig out of this book.

This book is disaster...

Talking in circles for long enough to publish as book length. I understand the focus on ' being published' yet to put your name on something so obviously void of meaning ...if prominence is valued over substance, take this route.

Really wanted to like this a lot more..

This bk is more about the importance of marketting ur bk once u've written it & then published it, not necessarily just the purity of the reasons to write it and get it done. Also about peppered thru-out w/ how this author's life & other people's lives, have improved because of writing their first book.
A reviewer I saw here was so right when they said, the word 'book' is said way way too much.. it's actually annoying.
The part of the book about the importance of writing a bk is only a portion... the rest is abt the importance of publishing it, and importance of marketting it. He goes on and on, as what feels random, about the importance of writing, publishing and marketting it.. to a degree that feels like going in circles.. (as another reviewer also stated).
