This was convicting and encouraging! The truths in this book forced me to look deeper into my life and exposed what I am now seeing as complacency. So thankful that the Lord put these truths into this couples heart and gave them the courage to write it down.

I finished listening to this book with tears in my eyes and bursting out. It is definitely the best book on marriage and parenting. I long with all my heart to have a marriage this way. This book brought me to the implications of the Gospel in my daily family life. Those who know me would say I am pretty radical but Francis and Lisa shook my world. Francis has an amazing capacity to read the Bible without cultural filters and Lisa is very gifted in application. The only point where I disagreed with Francis exposition is his presentation of 1 Corinthians 7. He reinterprets the part when Paul is speaking to singles and the parts where he speaks to married people in a way that makes some violence to the text. But he is not so off since a few verses below Paul speaks to married people according to The eternal perspective that Francis exposes.
The book is very practical. It has changed my life and will change my family,

As a Christian pastor and marriage counselor I’ve read A LOT of marriage books but this one is unique.
It’s not a list of do’s and don’ts, it’s a look a marriage from an eternal perspective. It’s also great if you’re a parent.
I really enjoyed it and will be recommending it to friends and family!
