About this listen

Zeud; one of seven and the dragon of flame has taken Abraham and Spoon into her island retreat off the coast of Greece to give the younger Tapper agent time to heal from the grievous wounds he suffered in London. On the outside, Abe seems to be progressing well. On the inside....

But then the news tells of a massive explosion in the Quarantine Zone surrounding Fukushima, Japan. This explosion caused damage to the ruins, but somehow...removed all the radiation from the reactor catastrophe, and left behind the signs of powerful magic.

Abraham and Spoon bring Zeud to Japan to investigate, and are dragged into a unfolding catastrophe at the hands of those responsible for the Fukushima incident. You see...they were trying to fix Japan’s scar with their magic, but in the process, unleashed something never before combined on Earth....

The power of magic, mixed with the power of the atom.

Time is short before what they have done will destroy far more than Japan, and it’s a race for the two Tapper agents, and the Dragon of Fire to stop them.

Can the dragon of fire fight a nuclear bomb?

Another great one!

I loved the book and the way it keeps you captivated! The only single issue I had at all was with the narrator, the way he pronounced Zeud. It shouldn't be pronounced "Zude"... it's "Zay-ude". Like the original narrator.

Fun, Complex, and another Dragon, love it all!

This was another blast to read/listen to! Chris Philbrook manages to write the awesome power and personality of dragons and mix that into a cast of humans and non-humans that continiously expand the complexity of the Reemergence World, each book adds more possibilities to where the known cast and future characters could go and do. I can't do a top 5 dragons because we haven't gotten books with all of them but Zeud was a mix of a warm hearth and barely contained supernova, which as the Dragon of Fire makes sense. Spoon was fun and great as usual. Abe comes back, read and find out where his head is, and I can't wait to see what book 6 brings.

Raphael brings another dragon to life, and even the older characters that started with another voice, and that takes skill. I look forward to hearing more stories from him!

Book of Fire

this was a very well written book The story kept you interested and I love how everything was interconnected even the characters from the very first book The only thing I felt objective or four was the performer he did not pronounce the words the way they pronounced in the first three books they changed the dragons names are just the pronunciation of their names and that was disorientated but I would still recommend this for the story along

Good, right up until the last two chapters

I have been enthused about all the Re-emergence books since the beginning. Usually they have a good pace and no sudden endings, until this one.
Zeud felt very deus ex machina at the pinnacle moment in the book. Throughout this entire story, the pacing was pretty good, even with the seemingly slow parts tying back into the plot.
But the last two chapters felt very rushed and left me wanting for a better, more complete, ending.

Definitely worth a listen, if you’re a fan. But not near as good as any of the preceding novels.

Interesting and fun.

Overall I'd say this is my second favorite book of the series. It's quick and to the point but I didn't feel like it was rushed. I would have liked some scenes to be more elaborate and fleshed out, but I don't think it was absolutely necessary.
The Narrator wasn't bad, I could always tell who was talking based on the voices. I didn't exactly like some of them though. not bad.
I'm excited to learn more about this world the author has made.
