About this listen
Maximillien controls Zolabarth, a shape-shifting alien powerful enough to destroy all his enemies, and capable of assuming a beguiling form that satisfies all his other needs.
Megalomaniac Maximus always achieves his goals. Right now, his goal is to destroy a massive army that tried to draft him using a mind control device. The only way Maximus can accomplish this is with a Rig-mertian: an alien that can transform into an invincible monster. Zolabarth is the Rig-mertian lent out to Maximus. Since Zolabarth is so destructive, his master cursed him with a weaker form. Every time Zolabarth takes his monster form, he has to become a female afterward.
Maximus is too elitist to relate to the crass Rig-mertian at first, but after some strange intimate moments, he finds himself drawn to him. When he's suddenly presented with Zolabarth as a female, there's no question in his mind how things will proceed.
Zolabarth killed his last master for putting the moves on him. Will this be the first time Maximus doesn't get what he wants?

Story
The tales of The Silmarillion are set in an age when Morgoth, the first Dark Lord, dwelt in Middle-earth, and the High Elves made war upon him for the recovery of the Silmarils, the jewels containing the pure light of Valinor. Included on the recording are several shorter works. The Ainulindalë is a myth of the Creation and in the Valaquenta the nature and powers of each of the gods is described. The Akallabêth recounts the downfall of the great island kingdom of Númenor at the end of the Second Age, and Of the Rings of Power tells of the great events at the end of the Third Age.

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Loved the book, loved the audiobook even more
I first read this book years ago and really loved it, so I was certainly anticipating the audiobook release. This was the first audiobook I've experienced that used a full cast of voices. Just as I expected, it really went the extra mile to bring the characters to life. I was impressed by the talents of the entire cast. Also, the music is really awesome and complemented the story well. If you love scifi or genderbend romance, you should certainly check this one out.

Love, Love, Love!
I absolutely loved this book! The chemistry between the characters is super hot and I love the character development! Both characters grow so much in such a short period of time. Maximillion's reactions to Zolabarth's Goddess enforced transformations remind me of the classic manga/anime They Were 11, which I also loved. This is a great book for fans of M/M-Yaoi genres with a Sci-fi twist that only enhances the story line. Hearing the characters voiced individually is just icing on the cake! I highly recommend this book!

This story was awesome! With a stellar cast narrating one of Yamila's steamy stories, it's more than worth it. Everyone's written and voiced so well it's like you're a fly on the wall for all sorts of hotness.

Sexy sci-fi romance
"Zolabarth Bi" is a steamy sci-fi tale involving the questionably moral--and delightfully egotistical--soldier Maximus and his mission to destroy an army once responsible for fitting him with a mind-control device. To aid him in his quest for revenge, a god-like being loans him a blood-thirsty, foul-mouthed, and sexy male alien called a "Rig-mertian" to decimate his enemies. What follows is the stuff twisted romance is made of, and boy, is it a fun ride!
The production values alone make this a worthwhile purchase, with talented voice-work and sound effects to make the story come alive. The characters are wicked fun (LOVE Maximus' arrogance and Zolabarth's crassness), and sex is titillating (though the soundtrack choice for the intimate parts felt a tad cheesy).
Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I recommend it!

More than I imagined!
I'm a long-time fan of Yamila Abraham's BL stories, but this is my first audio adaptation for her works. I'm amazed by the quality of the actors and production overall. I'm not sure what I expected, but this was a very professional and well put together piece. It reminded me a little of old radio dramas where the voice actors put so much emotion into the dialogue you are totally absorbed in the show. Very well done, and I look forward to the next ... Maybe Winter Demon??
