GREAT ZOMBIE SERIES

I love zombie/post-apocalyptic books, and this one was great! I'm working my way through the genre and there are some GREAT stories out there!!

This was a definite gem, one of the better ones I've read. Loved the story, characters, writing was done well, and by one of my FAVORITE narrators, Andrew Wehrlen.

With those two together, great things happen, and this one is great! On to the next one!
Definitely worth a credit, fun listen :)

kind of boring but with great narration

This was just an OK zombie apocalypse story. There was character development but there just wasn't as much action or suspense for me. The narration is good, which is probably the only reason I finished this book.

Not my favorite zombie ride

I've read a ton of zombie stories, its one of my favorite genres. I have to admit, this one wasn't one of my favorites. The problem I find with a lot of the zombie books is the characters are either too dumb or too macho. I wasn't a huge fan of all the back stories, but the narrator did a decent job.

The dish is lacking spice.

I like zombie stories. This one left something to be desired though. Matthew, the main character, was fairly well-developed and interesting. The story though was somewhat bland and suffered from lack of action. The zombies were there, but pretty much in the background, which is odd for a zombie title. I think the book needs a bit of spicing up. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

A bit different

A bit different from the norm in the Zombie genre!
A great read/listen. The storyline starts with the normal zombie apoc butdoesn't travel the usual route, maybe it will in book 2?
I will be readlistening to book 2.
Narration by Andrew B Wehrien. a Top class narrator who keeps you listening even thru the occasional slow patch in the book.
I think it is a good read/listen and look forward to book 2 in the series.

I really got into the characters

As zombie books go, this one is really good. I love the characters and the setting. This ranks as one of my favorite Z series.

A Good Start

The book starts out pretty good for the genre. It drops you right into the middle of the action and uses flashbacks to tell the background. My only issue is that the story doesn't seem to really go anywhere. At the end you don't find yourself very invested in the charachters or their plans. There is a lot of time spent describing pretty mundane things. I'd say it's a good start to a series, but the author needs to find a way to get the reader invested.

The author does a good job delivering the content and the charachters. Sometimes the pacing seems a little off but that might just be because of the way the story is written.

All in all I'd say it's pretty on par for the genre. Nothing too groundbreaking, but it isn't over the top or overly bad either.

I received this book free in exchange for a fair review.

Good story, totally unpredictable ride.

Kept me interested and guessing. Not everyone in the zombie apocalypse is equally equipped. Who you end up stuck with could make you or break you.
Love the narrator. Great work.

Very dull

Great character development with a seriously dry story. I got bored and just didn’t pay attention to the last half. Andrew Wehrlen is a brilliant narrator and he’s the only reason I kept listening.
