Let’s take a few moments to reflect on the past year, uncovering lessons, celebrate your wins, evaluate your losses from a non-judgemental, loving place, and set the stage for your best year yet! And where better to start than with an annual review? Why should you do a yearly review? Two reasons: To establish where you are now AND To make a focused plan for the coming year. Essentially, you are trying to answer the question: What can you learn from last year to decide what to do next year? A yearly review also gives you a moment to reflect on all the progress you’ve made. When your life gets turned upside down by divorce, it can be hard to see your progress, know what you want, or know what to do next! This is where reviewing the last year, looking for your wins as well, and gleaning all you can from your experiences is so beneficial.
