    My guests today are Ted and Bev Skiles, Christian missionaries that left their hometown of Missouri, USA in 1968. They packed up their whole life with almost nothing to their name, and they went with their three children on a boat for 17 days to the opposite side of the world.

    Little did they know they would spend over the next 50 years in Taiwan as missionaries. They ended up running an orphanage there that held over 3,000 children, and they successfully adopted out over 500 children to homes all around the world.
    We talk about children being stolen and sold for money in Taiwan. We talk about a child they adopted that grew up to help their dying son.
    We also talk about the complexities of social work, as well as much, much more.
