While living in Austin, she has raised four children, was a dental assistant, and now she is growing an amazing charity in Austin. This charity helps people throughout Austin by providing a free food pantry for the elderly, homeless, and other populations in need. She has new goals for 2025: 1) to acquire a warehouse, 2) to get trucks for pick up and delivery.

Today Shelly and Jody share their most recent books they have read. They rate the books on a scale of 1-5. This week, Shelly read: Failure is an Option by Jon Benjamin. This book kept Shellbell laughing as Jon Benjamin shares his big failures. Shelly gave it a 4. She also red Simply Lies by David Baldacci. This psychological thriller was a step away from Shelly's usual books. She gave it a generous 3. Shelly also read Tell Me How it Ends by Valerie Luiselli. Shelly gives it a 3. It is a book about what happens to children in the US that immigrate to the US.

This week Jody read: The Teacher by Freida McFadden. A psychological thriller of a married couple that teach at a local high school, and the problems they face as the wife finds out the hidden secrets of her husband. If you want a podcast to connect with this book, listen to Betrayal. They both have many connections. Jody gave this book a 3.5. Jody also read Girl Alone by Black Pierce. This book she gave a 3. Finally, Jody read The Way I Heard It by Walter Fulcher. Jody gave this book a 5. It is based on tall tales of the Big Bend area of Texas.
