  • My Day Of Play 2 Crazy Unedited Talks With A RnR Legend And A Creative Spiritualist
    Jan 7 2025
Welcome back to the studio. This is My Day of Play, where you’re taken into the real events and actions of how it happens long before the process of editing or cleaning up. The original purpose of these episodes was to give broadcasting students something to edit, to practice with and to call their own. Then I realized that you are just as important. Share the reality of how it really went. We begin things with a Rock n Roll legend Freddie Boom Boom Cannon. The Tallahassee Lassie who’s released his first work of music in 65 years. Then we’ll wrap things up with an author and spiritualist that knows the way into a deeper sense of thinking and living. The amazing Theresa Contaxis. This is My Day of Play. Completely unedited in the way of meeting the wizard behind the curtain.

  • Glitter And Greed Life Behind The Rainbow From Mary Robertson And Arianna LaPenne On Prime
    Jan 6 2025
Anyone who went to school in the 80s and 90s recognizes the sparkly unicorns, day-glo dolphins and bejeweled kittens that adorned folders and pencil cases. Those memorable designs came from Lisa Frank, Inc., a brand that defined girlhood for a generation of Americans only to seemingly disappear overnight. Now, a new docuseries on Prime Video, Glitter & Greed: The Lisa Frank Story, goes behind the neon-hued world of Lisa Frank to reveal a much darker reality. The four-part docuseries uncovers a stranger-than-fiction tale that takes viewers into a hidden world lurking at the heart of the company that wasn’t all puppies and rainbows. Glitter & Greed features interviews with Lisa Frank, Inc. insiders and journalists who describe a toxic work environment and corporate greed that ultimately destroyed the once-thriving business. Glitter & Greed: The Lisa Frank Story was executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer and director Mary Robertson who last revealed the dark underbelly of ‘90s kids TV shows with the hit docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. Mary was the showrunner of The New York Times Presents documentaries Framing Britney Spears and Controlling Britney Spears, both critically lauded documentaries that touched off a reckoning on Spears' treatment, misogyny, conservatorships and tabloid culture.

  • Celebrating Music And The Journey Katio O From Season 26 Of NBC's The Voice
    Jan 6 2025
As a child, Katie always had a love for music. She would sing around the house and learn her schoolwork by making up songs. Katie spent a lot of time at the beach and at her grandparents' house on the river.Growing up with three older brothers, she loved outdoor activities like fishing and shrimping with her family. Katie's earliest memories of fishing and shrimping were with her dad, whom she unfortunately lost when she was 9. Thankfully, her relationship with God, loving family and love for music got her through that hard time. After performing at an open mic at a local restaurant, Katie started to seriously pursue music. She then knew singing was her calling. Soon, she began singing all over the U.S. at restaurants, fairs, veteran events, festivals and Jacksonville's own River Taxi. Katie decided to take a year off from college to prioritize her music. She's focused on performing at new places, releasing music and songwriting. Katie is excited to see where this year takes her.

  • The Daily Mess Are We Bad Spellers And Are General Managers Decision Makers
    Jan 4 2025
I’m always asking questions. The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as… Have we become lazy spellers? Has digital technology injured our reasons for needing to spell correctly? Plus… Who’s in charge? Are general managers really the decision makers? I’m Arroe… I am a daily writer. A silent wolf. I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate. I call it The Daily Mess. A chronological walk through an everyday world. Yes, it’s my morning writing. As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later. When a subject arrives, I dig in. It’s still keeping a journal!
