Be Impactful by Impact Fashion

By: Rivky Itzkowitz: Founder at Impact Fashion
  • Summary

  • Hi, I'm Rivky Itzkowitz I’m the founder and designer at Impact Fashion and I’m the host here at Be Impactful, the show about women making an Impact in their own corners of the world. I started Impact Fashion in November of 2016 so that the modest minded women in my community could feel empowered to put their best foot forward every day, regardless of their size. In the process of growing my business I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with women of all different types and from all different fields. And the main lesson I’ve learnt is that we are all just improvising. We’re going around doing the best we can with what we’ve got, feeling self conscious about what everyone else is accomplishing. The truth is, the people who you’re looking over your shoulder at are probably doing the exact same thing to someone else. So let’s talk about the real nitty gritty in our lives and journeys and lift each other up by being just a bit more open. Join me and my guests as we try to figure out what it means to Be Impactful.

  • Wigs and Values with Gitel Rosenzweig
    Jan 13 2025

Rivky sits down with good friend and sheitel macher Gitel Rosenzweig for an impromptu conversation. We discuss Rivky's own wig wearing journey, how often the average person actually gets a new wig, the point in Gitel’s career when she didn’t feel broke anymore and if a $10,000 wig is really worth it.

Gitel Rosenzweig has been selling, styling, coloring, cutting and fitting wigs for over 20+ years. Working on thousands and thousands of clients isn't enough for her, though, so now she also educates other stylists, and the general public, in an effort to raise the bar of integrity in the industry.

  • In Search of a Follow Up
    Dec 30 2024

I normally would not put out an episode as serious as last week's without a therepeutic follow up and while that was my intention, the person I was supposed to record with backed out at the last minute. If you are or know of a female therapist who specializes in or has a considerable amount of experience with handling suicide, please connect us! My email is rivky@impactfashionnyc.com.
