Holiday break is over and Cinematic Savants is back! We start off by recapping a few movies we caught during the break towards the end of the year. Shawn reviews Nosferatu (5:38), and a spoiler-free review of Squid Game Season 2 (10:45). Tommy gives reviews for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (16:05), The Substance starring Demi Moore (21:40), and Homestead (35:56). We discuss the Teaser Trailer for Superman Legacy, directed by James Gunn (45:56) and even do a deep dive on the FS1 drama (1:25:36).

This is it for 2024! We've had a great on Cinematic Savants watching a lot of great movies this year (along with some bad ones) and it's time to give our Top 5 lists for the best movies that have come out this year. The Savants kick off with Shawns review of Jamie Foxx's newest standup released on Netflix, What Had Happened was.., which has some strong reactions from viewers. Was it too sad and not enough jokes? Ryan gives his review of Wicked, along with a rant on "Woke Culture" being stolen from us. Shawn gives his review of Afraid, which launches a conversation on artificial intelligence. Tommy goes on a rant for what has become of one of his favorite show, Yellowstone and gives his review of Agatha All Along on Disney+. Tommy gives some box office trivia to recap the 2024 year.
