Climbing Gold

By: Duct Tape Then Beer
  • Summary

  • When climbing was a fringe sport, the epic tales of achievement were told around the campfire. As the sport continues to grow, Alex Honnold and co-host Fitz Cahall grab the mic to share stories from the people who define climbing by pushing the boundaries and challenging the status quo of the previous generation.

    Oct 4 2024
Alpinist and photographer Cory Richards was living at full speed. A steady stream of Himalayan expeditions and assignments from National Geographic kept him relentlessly moving around the world. Meanwhile, his long struggle with bi-polar disorder, PTSD, alcoholism, and sex addiction hit new lows until Cory’s world came undone. Great to sit back and enjoy!

We loved this podcast. You would think it would be all about Alex and his life but he rarely talks about himself. The history of climbing is so interesting and entertaining it is a must for your drives to to wall. We climb in the mountains every week, which is two hours from where we live. These have made the drive a lot more enjoyable. Its got great tips in it as well if you are new to climbing like us. The only thing we don't like about it is that they haven't released more yet!

Great Podcast!

The podcasts are well done and enjoyable to listen to. As a climber, it's always great to learn more about the community though I'd still enjoy this podcast even if I didn't climb!
