  • 5 Minute Drill | Pray During a Pit Stop
    Oct 16 2024

How well do you respond to things not going as planned? Are you a blamer? Complainer? Rager?

Life’s detours are tough, but I’ve found pit stops to be even tougher. So what do you do in those seasons when you feel like your progress towards your purpose and goals is halted?…like you got out of life’s race and find yourself in an unplanned pit stop confused, frustrated, or even depressed?

In today’s 5 Minute Drill, I’m kicking off a 4-part series on purpose pit stops. There’s a recurring theme I’m hearing from my clients and the guys in my Clutch Club that I feel needs to be addressed. If we don’t address it, any goal you set will be shallow. And that’s speaking from firsthand experience!

If you want a better approach to breaking through the pit stops in your life, then lock in to today’s Drill. You’ll get plenty of insights on resilience and how to step into a future that aligns with your values.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

    • The underutilized source of power during periods of uncertainty and how it can provide you peace and clarity.
    • Life lessons learned from interactions with renowned celebrities and executives.
    • The benefits of seeing life's pit stops as purposeful pauses rather than setbacks.
    • Key insights from J.R.’s personal struggles with depression, disconnection from his values, and the eventual renewal of purpose and strength.
    • Strategies for resilience and ways to unleash your best capabilities to create a better future.
    • The importance of staying aligned with your values and maintaining a strong relationship with your family, especially even in challenging times.

  • Rob Kalwarowsky | Remove the Toxicity From Your Life
    Oct 9 2024
“I don’t know who to trust these days.” How many times have you caught yourself saying that? (Be honest, it’s 2024…you’ve been burned at some point in your life.) But how do you move on? How do you recover? How do you build more relationships in life, sports, business…wherever…knowing you’ve had your trust broken? This is something I’ve struggled with…I’m a trusting person. I give people the benefit of the doubt (sometimes to a fault). That’s why I wanted to interview TEDx speaker and leadership expert, Rob Kalwarowsky. As a former Canadian National Team athlete who struggled with acceptance from his father, Rob understands the impact of toxic leadership and trust being broken. Toxic leadership and relationships impact us in all areas of life. Rob shares his journey from depression to a TED Talk, showcasing the importance and benefits of mindset and deep work. We also unpack subconscious programming and how it influences our decision-making process. Additionally, we explore the significance of seeking professional help during difficult times. • 5 Minute Drill | Get More Blessings, Not More Problems
    Oct 2 2024

How much energy and brain space do your problems and challenges take up?

Let’s be honest, they take up more space than we typically want to admit. Two approaches usually happen when hurdles pop up:

    #1: Complain

#2: Do everything humanly possible to find solutions to them (and don’t stop until they’re solved).

#2 Seems better than #1, right? That’s what us high achievers do…we find solutions. But at what cost?

Oftentimes, it’s burnout. Because we have a tendency to OBSESS about solving our problems, even when it’s not our problem to solve. Then we wonder why we have more problems and less blessings in life.

In today’s 5 Minute Drill, let’s talk about how to put yourself in position to receive more blessings in life. There’s a key paradigm shift and process surrounding life problems that I want to share with you. I believe with every bone in my body that it will position you for more blessings and miracles in your life.

If you want a better approach to addressing your problems and put yourself in better position to receive more blessings, then lock in to today’s Drill.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

    • The key paradigm shift and process that will position you for more blessings and miracles.
    • The "L.A.P.S." acronym for overcoming challenges.
    • The importance of surrendering your challenges and problems.
    • The significance of concentrating on the source of the blessing vs. the problem.

    KEY QUOTES

“Your problem gets more persistent when your Provider isn’t in it.” - J.R.
