  • Ep 1: The Forgotten Victims | Part 01
    Jan 8 2021
Laura Richards analyses and deconstructs the murders and attacks on lone women committed by Peter Sutcliffe (known as PS throughout the series) in the north east of England in the 1960s and 1970s. This case happened before Laura started her career at New Scotland Yard. It was the very reason her unit was set up. Listen and find out why Laura believes this is one of the most misunderstood cases of our time and why we should stop referring to this serial killer as The Yorkshire R***** Join Laura each week in the intelligence cell as she behaviourally breaks down each attack and highlights which cases she believes to be linked, why PS did what he did and how he was allowed to get away with it for so long. So insightful

it starts off a bit slow but by episode 3 I was hooked. She does an amazing job breaking down the crime scenes, the flaws in the police work and the mindset of the times. Victims need to be remembered, perpetrators need to stop being glorified and society needs to look at things from a different lense. This podcast does an excellent job illustrating those points.

Thoughtful and thought-provoking!

This is a fantastic podcast that really examines our current society issues. I love how well-researched each episode is - she knows the details and helps me follow patterns in behaviors. Each episode gives me access to terminology that finally helps me communicate the behaviors I am seeing in my profession and in everyday life. Laura is a true advocate for victims and works to bring changes to tainted systems in society. A must listen!

Laura Richards is Mind-blowing

Laura Richards presents true crime analysis with such care & attention to detail. If you're wondering why there are so many multi-part episodes for each case, it's because she takes you through a real crime analysis, step by step and minute-by-minute. Just like she's done for New Scotland Yard, the FBI and many other law enforcement officers and entities. She doesn't gloss over things, but unlocks every thread. In the process, you'll be shocked by what she uncovers, and what you and everyone else missed. Her presentation is intelligent, fascinating and you'll definitely see more clearly after a listen. Laura is a consummate professional, dogged investigator and fearless advocate for victims who are overlooked, dismissed or misunderstood by local law enforcement.
