  • Ep 49: Stop Repeating Yourself: How to leverage curriculum design for more time + profits
    Dec 13 2024

In this episode, we begin with a heartfelt "What's in Process/What's in Progress" update. Chantill shares her run-in with unexpected garage intruders, while Anne reflects on the joy of celebrating her dad’s magnificent 85th birthday. They explore how their nervous systems handle stress differently and how staying curious can be a grounding practice for greater resilience.

Shifting gears, we dive into the transformative power of curriculum design in the service-based economy. Discover how creating intentional, well-designed teaching frameworks can help you stop repeating yourself, reclaim your time, and increase profits. By meeting students where they are and fostering a safe, engaging learning environment, curriculum design can deepen connections and elevate course success rates.

We share evidence that online curriculum that is actually engaging has the power to uplift both educators and learners, emphasizing the importance of embracing diverse learning styles and creating accessible, impactful content that is just not possible in the 1-hour in-person containers that most service providers work in. We even talk about who this particular brand of curriculum design is NOT FOR.

If you’ve been dreaming of designing a course, enjoy teaching, and want to expand your impact, this episode is for you. Don’t miss the chance to join their upcoming Embodied Course Creation Program in January 2025—your gateway to crafting transformative learning experiences!

  • Ep 48: Episode 48: Buckle Up! We are sharing all the goods.
    Nov 29 2024

Welcome to Episode 48, where we serve up equal parts inspiration, education, and laughter! This week, we dive into what it means to be a polyvagal-informed business and how this philosophy shapes our three key pillars: Developing Awareness, Practice Shifting, and Nurturing Change. (Spoiler: these pillars are the secret sauce to our Nervous System Integration Facilitator certification!)

As always, we kick things off with a life update—and yes, we touch on the U.S. election. Don’t worry, though, we keep it light and leave the soapboxes at home. But let's just say… feelings were felt!

Next, we explore the highs, lows, and occasional "ugh" of behavior change. Anne, in her not-so-spring-chicken wisdom, confesses her struggles with shifting habits. That honesty birthed her latest creation: The Profit Habit Tracker. We explore the story behind it— it’s all about taking charge of our financial habits.

Meanwhile, Chantill found herself so inspired that she whipped up her own new creation: The Self-Regulation Scorecard. Together, we unpack how these tools embody the three pillars and pave the way for lasting change and nervous system wellbeing.

Tune in for a delightful blend of insights, humor, and our latest creations that we can't wait to share with you!

  • Ep 47: Change Your Business or Company Culture with This ONE Strategic Move - Mental Health Monday’s, Baby!
    Nov 15 2024

As we get closer to our 50th episode mark, we’re excited to share a pivotal development in our company’s journey: Mental Health Mondays. We’re talking about major internal culture shifts and what it requires. In this episode, we’ll unpack what Mental Health Mondays are, why we created them, and how they’ve become central to our team’s success. We’ll also dive into how this simple practice has transformed our business from the inside out.

The landscape of our work and our lives is usually fast-paced and demanding, and it’s easy to get caught up in the constant cycle of doing without pausing to reflect. We’ve seen firsthand how taking time to focus on regulating ourselves has significantly reduced stress, improved communication, and increased creativity within our team. This practice has become a foundation for how we show up for one another and our clients – with greater empathy, patience, and presence.

Mental Health Mondays are a natural fit for our Polyvagal-centered approach to business. Polyvagal Theory, which examines the inextricable link between our physiology and our psychology is one of our guiding philosophies, allows us to use the language of the nervous system to better understand not just how we’re feeling, acting, and thinking, but WHY. Through this lens we’re able to identify cues of safety and recognize triggers, creating an environment that supports both productivity and well-being.

What does this look like? For us, it means understanding that each team member and each of our clients' experience is valid — no matter how fucked up, unfair, or difficult it might seem or be or feel — with their nervous system responses shaping how they perceive and react to challenges.

Bottom line: creating a safe space for self-awareness and self-regulation to be a SKILL we honor and promote within our business… is a GAME-CHANGER! If you want to lay a strong foundation for better collaboration and innovation this is it. And the ripple effects are endless: more compassion and empathy; greater likelihood of creating positive behavior within the operational structures of your business; decision-making in times of uncertainty; creative problem solving under pressure and so much more.

We hope this conversation inspires you to think about how intentional mental health practices and an understanding of the nervous system can lead to transformative shifts in any setting. Let’s keep exploring how we can build resilient, compassionate communities that empower each of us to thrive.
