  • Summary

  • Welcome to Empowering Her - a podcast for women who are ready to uncover their magic, empower girls, and create a life & career that rocks! I’m your host Melody Pourmoradi, author of Empowered Women Empower Girls and XOXO from a girl who gets it, Certified Empowerment Coach, Twin Girl Mama, and the creator of the GiRLiFE Academy. I’ve made it my life’s work to train passionate female leaders to claim true empowerment for themselves so that they can share it with the girls in their lives. After all, isn’t that what we women do when we’ve got something good to share? We spread the love. After working with hundreds of women on unlearning the fears they picked up on in their adolescence, I’ve made it my mission to set our girls up with an unshakable mindset so they can move through their lives with intention, grace and ease...especially when it feels like the hardest thing to do. Join me each week for empowering conversations and actionable steps on how you can shine our own light, claim your own worth and pave the way for our future female leaders. Girls WILL transform our world so let’s do this thing.... Together let’s change the world one girl at a time.

  • Ep 240 - The subtle ways we can build (or break) a child's confidence
    Oct 10 2024

Every word we speak and story we tell has the power to either lift a child up or hold them back—let's choose wisely beautiful people.

In this episode of Empowering Her, I discuss the importance of pre-framing experiences for children to foster resilience and self-belief. I share a powerful story of Einstein's mother, who made a very intuitive decision that changed the course of her son's life. The conversation emphasizes the power of reframing limitations into strengths, the impact of self-talk, and the influence of media consumption on children's perceptions. Melody encourages parents to model positive behaviors and beliefs, creating a nurturing environment for the next generation.

I hope that it serves you!

    XOXO,

    Melody

  • Ep. 239 - You Weren’t Made for Everyone {and here's why this is more than ok}
    Oct 2 2024

Being disliked is actually evidence that you are living in your truth. Great reframe, right? But it's actually the truth beautiful listener.

In today’s episode of Empowering Her, we’re diving into a truth that we often forget: you are not meant for everyone, and that’s exactly what makes you powerful. We’ve all had moments when we feel like we don’t fit in or when someone’s criticism hits harder than it should. But what if I told you that those moments are a sign you’re doing something right?

It’s time to stop watering down who you are to fit into someone else’s expectations. In this conversation, I’ll be sharing why being unliked is actually a key part of your growth, why rejection is a redirection towards your higher purpose, and how to embrace your unique voice—without needing everyone to love it. If you’ve ever felt like you’re too much or not enough, this episode is your permission slip to stop seeking approval and start standing fully in your truth.

    What You’ll Learn:

    • Why you’re not meant to resonate with everyone—and why that’s okay.
    • How trying to please others limits your personal and professional growth.
    • The power of criticism and how it fuels your journey to becoming your most authentic self.
    • Why it’s crucial to embrace rejection and use it as a redirection toward what’s meant for you.
    • How living unapologetically draws in the right people and allows you to leave a bigger impact.

    Soulful Reflections from the Episode:

    • “Releasing the need for approval is the ultimate form of empowerment.”
    • “You’re not too much. You’re not not enough. You’re exactly who you’re meant to be, and not everyone will understand that.”
    • “When you let go of trying to be liked, you create space to be truly seen by the people who matter.”

Why This Episode Is for You:

If you’re tired of holding yourself back because of fear of rejection or judgment, this episode is your reminder that you were never here to be liked by everyone. In fact, your purpose is not for the masses—it’s for the people who truly resonate with your message. This conversation will help you let go of the approval-seeking that’s been keeping you small, so you can fully step into your power and make the impact you were meant to.

Thanks for your listenership my friends! XOXO
