Hammer and Fire Podcast

By: Dwell Community Church
  • Summary

  • "Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?" (Jeremiah 23:29 - NIV) Pat Reeder, host and Director of Equipping at Dwell Community Church, works through entire books of the Bible with Silas Young. The goal is to enrich listeners’ understanding of God so that they can effectively and faithfully serve him. We believe God's word is not just for sterile learning. The Bible has the striking force of a hammer to challenge our thoughts and the consuming power of fire to change lives. Pat Reeder has a PhD in Philosophy and an MS in mathematics. He writes book reviews at criticalreeder.com. Silas Young is on the Equipping staff at Dwell and has a BA in Classics.
