• Nervous to Share
    Oct 18 2024
I’ll never forget the moment someone said to me,

“You’re an answer to our prayers! We can’t believe that God has brought you into our parents’ lives! They’ve been so closed off. Thank you!” I had just shared the Gospel with an elderly couple in our neighborhood and prayed for the husband when he was on the way to the hospital. After many years of hardness, their hearts were softening toward the Lord. We saw it!

I had been so nervous that their adult children would be upset with me… that they would think I was taking advantage of a vulnerable moment and imposing my beliefs on their parents. But instead, they were so grateful! They’d been praying their parents would find friends like us to reach out to them, to be faithful ambassadors for Christ.

Our flesh is weak, self-protective, and fearful. But experience has taught me that sharing the Gospel—stepping out and taking the necessary risks—leads to great joy.

Remember, there is always hope with God. This is Andrew Palau.

As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ. 2 Corinthians 9:13

  • Our Confidence in Christ
    Oct 17 2024
I remember being a young mother – thrown into the deep end of life.

I felt like I was drowning. There were days I felt like a failure, and days that I really just failed.

One day I confided in a woman and I said to her “I just don’t think I’m getting this right.” And she looked me in the eyes and said, “Wendy, you HAVE TO get it right! You have to!”

Years later, I realized how wrong she was. And that was a big pivot in my confidence in evangelism.

We can share Jesus with confidence—not because we’ve reached perfection. But because we need saving just as much as anyone else! We need His help, His healing, and His powerful presence.

Let your confidence be IN HIM, and share the Good News today.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

"It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God." 2 Corinthians 3:5

  • Do you feel powerless?
    Oct 16 2024
Have you ever held back from sharing the Gospel with someone because you think, what could I possibly say that would convince this person to receive Jesus?

It takes prayerful discernment to decide when and how to share with certain people. But, you know what’s comforting? Even when we don’t know what to do or what to say, God does.

In Acts chapter 1, Jesus said this to His disciples, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses telling people about me, everywhere. In Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria and even to the ends of the earth.”

The Gospel is for every person. We want to make that offer known. There is hope with God and God knows just the right way to meet each person’s heart with His love. As you move forward in spreading the Good News, in your way, you just pray and trust the Holy Spirit of God to lead the way with power.

  • Never Despair
    Oct 15 2024
What motivates you to share Jesus in your daily life?

For me, one precious truth that motivates me to share the Gospel is this:

We don’t grieve as those who have no hope.

Knowing Jesus means that there is always hope, no matter the circumstances of life, no matter how painful the situation. And I want everyone to have this hope!

When someone gives their life to Jesus, their troubles are still there. The idea that our problems are immediately solved when we start following God is a fantasy. God does not promise us an easy life!

But one thing is true. When Christ lives in us through His Spirit, we are never alone again, and we are never without hope.

Always remember, there is hope with God.

  • Messengers
    Oct 14 2024
Have you ever bought into the lie that people just don’t want to hear about God?

That lie can hold us all back from sharing the message of hope in Christ.

I have so many stories of being afraid to share the Gospel. Even though I’ve chosen to spend my whole life in evangelism, it’s my calling. And after all these years, I still sometimes get anxious and nervous.

God has shown me again and again that the real power in sharing the Gospel comes through Him anyway—the Holy Spirit—and not through me.

    And Ezekiel 36, says this,

I will give you a new heart, I will put a new spirit in you. I will take away your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.

God does not require us to change people’s hearts. That’s His job. God just asks us- faithfully, humbly deliver a message of hope.

  • Remove the Barriers
    Oct 11 2024
1 Peter 3:15 says, "If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it."

So, why do we struggle to be quick and confident to share the Good News of Jesus?

What’s holding you back? Do you feel unqualified to share the Gospel? Are you worried about seeming self-righteous? Maybe the task feels too weighty and you feel burdened with pressure and fear.

Whatever the barrier is, you’re not alone. And these things that hold us back are all based on lies. The truth is your Heavenly Father made you for this purpose- to testify to the truth, the truth of the Gospel.

So, pray with me right now: Lord, I’m Your child, and You gave me a story, a story that I can share, a story of how You’ve transformed my life. So, give me the desire and the courage to share Your message of hope. Thank you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Remember, there is always hope with God.

  • Nothing Is More Joyful
    Oct 10 2024
Have you ever witnessed someone being made new by God?

I’ve been serving the Lord in ministry for a long time. But in the many places where we have served… nothing comes close to the joy and the awe of seeing God rescue people. There is nothing on earth like it.

The despair falls away and people become filled with hope.

Guilt and shame are washed away. They become clean—covered with the holiness only Jesus can give.

Over and over again, I return to these memories. This is what the love of Christ does- when people meet Him, their rescued.

So many are in need of God’s hope. Won’t you share it? There is nothing more joyful.

Always remember, there’s hope with God.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

  • What will you choose?
    Oct 9 2024
What kind of things have stopped you from sharing the Gospel?

Maybe you’ve thought, “God doesn’t need me… there are other people way more educated, more qualified to share the Good News than me.”

But the truth is, God will use whoever is willing.

When Jesus rode into Jerusalem, just days before His crucifixion, people began to declare Him as Lord and they began to worship Him!

The religious leaders of the time thought it was blasphemy and they told Jesus to rebuke them. Jesus replied…

“If they keep quiet, the rocks will cry out.”

That was His way of saying: The truth about ME must be declared. There’s no stopping the message of the Gospel!

And this is the decision set before us… will we choose to participate? Will you be a co-laborer with Jesus?

Remember, there is always hope with God.
