    Hey everybody this week’s episode is focused on a broad overview of American Empire Building. We are focusing in the time period of 1800-1915 so the 19th century. Topic’s cover a wild variety of different events such as what is Imperialism at the time, Industrial growth in America ( markets/good), search for raw materials around same time as the civil war will begin to bubble and explode. The role Manifest Destiny played in emerging empire of America and the taking if the west, Khadija will focus on the Spanish American War that lasted 10 weeks in 1898 and I focus on annexation of Hawaii that same year July 1898-all in Americans quest for empire. We also touch on the capitalism of it all in terms of Dole and United Fruit and their role in American Imperialism…. Then to give our brain a nice palette cleanse, we will be chatting about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and their shenanigans as well as Miami and some others.     Well the ladies are starting off Earth Month giving us a quick introduction into Rachel Carson and the impact she had on Presidents Kennedy and Nixon. With her work she helped to provide compelling arguments that led to the creation of environmental policies and eventually the Environmental Protection Agency. As we know the impacts of Climate Change are already being seen in the Globalized South and here in our own backyard. Khadija will discuss why so many Millennials and Gen Z are not having kids and how much if that is connected to the current environmental crisis. There is of course our responsibility to discuss the current Bravo breakdowns and even a little history lesson for all you Bravo fans out there. We even give a little hot take on March Madness and women’s basketball. What more could you want in an episode?!
