    Vikram Vij is an Indian-born Canadian chef, cookbook author, and television personality, known for his acclaimed Indian cuisine restaurants Vij's British Columbia, Canada.

    He is also renowned as one of the "dragons" investors on the hit Canadian reality series, Dragon's Den. He was born in India and grew up in India in Amritsar, Delhi and Mumbai. He left home at the age of 20 to start his culinary journey abroad and began working in Austria and studying Hotel Management. During this time, a Canadian hotelier tasted his creations and immediately invited him to savor Canada's culinary possibilities. Vikram immigrated to Alberta in 1989 and started work at the Banff Springs Hotel. He opened his first restaurant, Vij's, in Vancouver, Canada in 1994 to great success.
