• Jason Wilde on JM&M
    Jan 10 2025
Jason Wilde joins Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias to help preview the Packers vs Eagles playoff matchup while on his road trip from Green Bay to Milwaukee this evening. Jason explains why he's less concerned about the wintery roads than most Packers fans are about the final injury report for the wild card round. With both relatively clean injury reports for both teams, they discuss how the two QBs Jordan Love and Jalen Hurts will perform coming off their respective injury issues. Jim asks Jason to answer today's Siding Unlimited poll question -- are the Packers a better team today than when they lost to the Eagles in Week 1 --, and they discuss how both Green Bay and Philly have changed since that Week 1 matchup in Brazil. Jason also explains why he's picking the Eagles to win even though there's clearly more pressure on Philly and their coaching staff. Jon wants to know why some fans think it's far-fetched that the Packers can win this time after hanging with the Eagles up until the final drive in Week 1, and Jason wants to know who let a Vikings fan and Bears fan host the show ahead of the Packers first-round playoff matchup. They also discuss the momentum comparison heading into the playoff this season as opposed to last year and the 2010 Packers team that went on to win the Super Bowl.

  • 4PM: Packers vs Eagles Wild Card Preview
    Jan 10 2025
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias take you into the weekend with Phish Friday, giving their final previews and thoughts for the Packers vs Eagles game this weekend! After discussing the bright spots and warts of this Packers team all week as well as how the team feels like its limping into the postseason, Jim and Jon take a wholesale view of how this team has changed since its Week 1 loss to the Eagles in Brazil. They ask today's Siding Unlimited poll question: Are the Packers a better team today than when they played the Eagles in Week 1? They review the results and outline how the losses of Christian Watson and Jaire Alexander compare to the improvements of the defense and emerging star Edgerrin Cooper. They also discuss how the Eagles have progressed since these teams' sloppy matchup on the turf down in Sao Paola. Jim also outlines his journey out on the wintery roads of Wisconsin today, driving from Madison to Milwaukee and back, and he reveals his 10 degrees of relation Goldie Hawn and one of the Founding Fathers??? Jan 10 2025
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias quickly sprint to Hour 2 of Phish Friday, as they get out 30 minutes early ahead of the Bucks vs Magic game at 6pm. Jim and Jon look back at today's first Siding Unlimited poll question asking if the Packers are a better team today than when they lost to the Eagles in Week 1. With so many Packers fans answering in the affirmative, they now now wanna know those same fans will answer the second Siding Unlimited poll question: Are the Eagles better today than when they beat the Packers in Week 1? During Don't Quote Me, Jim and Jon make their longshot predictions for Sunday's Packers vs Eagles games, and producer Primetime and Arizona Matt Hamilton chime in as well. They wrap up the show with Poll Dancing, reviewing results from poll around ESPN WI that asked questions about this Packers team heading into the playoff compared to last year's team, and whether you go inside or wait in your car when picking someone up from the airport.

  • 4PM: Packers Breaking Through REALISTIC Playoff Ceiling
    Jan 10 2025
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias hold down Thursday's show with Matt Hamilton away curling in Arizona while Molly Brown is still out with babies. Packers should be optimistic after their QB Jordan Love returned to practice in full today, and they also discuss the importance of Jalen Hurts working his way out of the concussion protocol after participating in full as well. With the Packers coming into the playoffs as 4.5 point underdogs versus the Eagles in the wild card round, Jim and Jon take a broader view to ask what the Packers realistic ceiling is this postseason. They ask today's Siding Unlimited poll question about the Packers' realistic postseason ceiling: winning the wild card game versus Philly, beating the Lions in the divisional round, winning the NFC Championship Game, or winning the Super Bowl! Before any of this Jim and Jon get excited for today's remote guest appearance from comedian Michael Kosta of The Daily Show! Jim is amazed at the SIZE of the 6'4" Kosta, sending Jim and Jon down a rabbit hole about whether comedians skew taller or shorter than the average American height. They wrap up discussing more about the Packers playoff ceiling and the results from Packers fans voting in their poll question.

  • 5PM: Packers & Eagles RB Prop Bets, & Too Old for Caffeine
    Jan 10 2025
Jim Rutledge and Jon Arias roll into Hour 2 of Thursday's show. They take another break from talking Packers for a pick-me-up conversation about just how tired they feel now (all the time). How much sleep do Jim and Jon get compared to their 25-year-old producer Primetime, and would it wreck them more to drink caffeine or alcohol before going to bed at this point in their lives. What even is being 21 years old?? They shift to Molly's Game, as Molly Brown takes a break from maternity leave to send us some gambling lines related to the NFL playoff games and Packers vs Eagles, including picks on the rushing props for Josh Jacobs and Saquon Barkley. Throwing Stones includes TWO stones from Jon Arias, including topics on the entertainment of 3v3 basketball versus 7v7 flag football as well as the seeding model for teams in the CFP. Jim and Jon wrap up the show with a theoretical trade for the Milwaukee Bucks, sending Primetime on a tirade to defend Khris Middleton's honor.

  • Mark Tauscher on JM&M
    Jan 9 2025
Mark Tauscher joins Jim and Jon Arias to discuss the Packers' upcoming playoff game versus the Eagles and Matt LaFleur's unsurprisingly coy response to any and all questions related to Jordan Love's elbow/ulnar nerve injury. They also have Tausch answer yesterday's poll question on if Jordan Love underachieved this season or if we just had out-sized expectations, and Tausch describes just how dumb it is to ask if the Packers should start Malik Willis if Jordan Love is less than 75% healthy heading into Sunday's playoff game. Jon also asks Tausch straight up: the Packers win if ____? Jim and Tausch also discuss how inept the Bears organization looks for holding ALL of their HC candidate interviews over Zoom, though Tausch is taking a week off from crapping on Chicago!

  • 4PM: Jordan Love Was Limited
    Jan 9 2025
Jim Rutledge is joined by Jon Arias who's filling in while Matt Hamilton's away curling in Arizona for the rest of the week. They discuss today's news that Jordan Love was limited at the Packers' first practice this week ahead of Sunday's playoff game versus the Eagles. Jordan Love and the Packers are unsurprisingly playing coy about the status of his elbow injury from last Sunday's loss to the Bears, but there's now way we, the Eagles coaching staff or ANYONE is buying the coyness, right? They also discuss the increasing likelihood that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will return after sitting out the last two weeks in the concussion protocol. With the injury question marks still up in the air for these QBs, Jim and Jon they ask today's Siding Unlimited poll question: should the Packers start Malik Willis if Jordan Love is less than 75 healthy. Just how ridiculous are the poll results from Packers fans??? They also discuss the overly coy response by Matt LaFleur when asked about Love's injury status at this afternoon's press conference. Before any of this, Jim and Jon fly right into the football talk with a deep conversation about what it's like to REALLY camp in Minnesota and the most off-putting and uncomfortable old-time cartoons. They wrap up Hour 1 with Jon's least favorite part of the show with Minute to Win It, as he has to name the 7 coaches in the NFL playoff field who give their team the biggest edge on 4th downs (according to the DATA)!
