In this episode Dr Jak speaks to Kwame Kwei-Armah, the Artistic Director of the Young Vic Theatre in London. Kwame’s chosen historical figure is Jamaican writer and poet, Claude McKay was a central figure in the Harlem Renaissance, and his work heavily influenced a generation of black authors including James Baldwin and Richard Wright.
