Leading with Compassion with Dr. Jennifer Maney

  • Summary

  • This week on the APL nextED Mini-Pod Dr. Jennifer Maney, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Marquette University, shares how she connects faculty with the institution’s mission and how she helps encourage whole-person support within her work.

Building cross-disciplinary relationships between faculty is a continual focus of college and university administrators, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. To help create these relationships at Marquette University, Dr. Maney leaned into their institutional mission. Through the CTL’s creation of several clubs and resources, faculty were able to connect across disciplines to share knowledge, hobbies, ways to support each other and their students, and much more.

Hear the methods that Dr. Maney and her team used to bring together a campus community that continues to thrive.
