In our modern culture, Satan is portrayed more as a cartoon character than a real entity. But the Bible is clear that Satan is real and is the enemy of God’s people but also the enemy of mankind. Satan is a figure from the Bible who has entered into popular culture. He is often pictured as a red, humanlike creature with horns, a tail and carrying a pitchfork. The Bible paints him in a very different light and in this message, I’m praying that the Holy Spirit will help us see how the devil works and how we can be aware of his schemes.

Over the centuries, various Church fathers have all agreed that the 3 main areas of conflict in which we all have to overcome so that we can run our race well are as follows : the world, the flesh and the devil. Today we look at what the FLESH is and what steps we can take to overcome this force in our lives.

Jesus spoke often and openly about the world. What did He mean, and how can I live a life which is unstained by this world? Listen and learn.

Jesus warns his disciples that following him earnestly would not be an easy life. They were to expect that the way he was treated was also the way they would be treated, they would be hated by all men because of him. How do we match up to the challenge of living Christlike lives in this world?

In this final chapter of the book, as the race of faith approaches its end, Nehemiah is finishing strong. He has overcome some more hurdles to get there. Learn from this great champion of the Faith.

Nehemiah sets about filling this derelict city with the sounds of music and praise and of course normal life. He fills the city with the 'right" people, those who will add to the city's joy and gladness. Are you one of those people?
