We have a special one today! For those who loved snowboarding in the early 2010s, Jason "Hondo" Newman was at the center of snowboarding media. As the online editor over at Transworld Snowboarding, he was the face of the entertaining interviews and was the man who held the Instagram password for the site as it blew up with the app. His list of projects span from Adidas to Shaun White with plenty of highlights along the way. He has never done a podcast and we are still pretty new at it, so we decided to have him on to chat what life is like since he left snowboarding media for a successful career in New York City. We are back after a long break working on the print magazine. We promise Snowboard Mag's Mark My Bird podcast is here to stay and won't go on another break until the winter is over. Our guest to launch off the early season is up-and-coming Burton team rider Rob Roethler. Climbing the ladder quick among up-and-comers in the streets, Montana-raised Iris Pham is on a trajectory rarely seen these days in snowboarding. Bird about van life, her burgeoning career, upcoming projects, and staying calm in the streets. As an anchor on the Never Summer team, Iris' style has caught the attention of just about everyone in snowboarding, so we figured it would be great to catch up with her while she had some time.
