  • Episode 4: Why Does God Let Bad Things Happen? Understanding Suffering, God's Sovereignty, and Finding Hope
    Feb 21 2025

Have you ever been so overwhelmed by life, scrolling through the news, or dealing with something heavy, and thought— ‘If God is so good, why is life so hard? Why does He let bad things happen?’

Let’s be honest… suffering is a huge struggle for a lot of people, maybe even the biggest reason some walk away from faith. Maybe you’ve been there—maybe you're there right now. And if so, first off, I just want to say... you’re not alone.

Today, we’re going to dive deep into this question: Why does God let bad things happen? Is He even in control? Does He care? And if He does, then why does He allow suffering?

    We’ll break down:

✅ The reality of suffering and why it exists.

✅ How free will and sin play a role in pain.

✅ What the Bible says about God’s control and His purpose in suffering.

✅ How Jesus personally experienced suffering and why that matters.

✅ How to find hope and trust God even in the hardest times.

I don’t have all the answers, but I do know this—God isn’t afraid of our questions. So let’s wrestle with this together. And my hope is that by the end of this episode you'll find peace in knowing God is still in control, that He sees you, He knows you, and He loves you. And He is with you every step of the way despite your doubts or questions or struggles.

  • Episode 2: Faith and Feelings: Finding Hope in the Struggle
    Jan 23 2025

Mental health is a significant challenge for Gen Z and Gen Alpha. This episode addresses the tension between faith and feelings, exploring how Jesus provides hope when life feels overwhelming. We’ll tackle questions like, “Is it okay to feel anxious or depressed as a Christian?” and “How can faith help when my emotions seem uncontrollable?”

    Faith in Action:

    1. The 5-Minute Reset: Pause, breathe, and pray.

    • “God doesn’t need your Instagram-filtered prayer. He wants the raw, real version of you.”

    2. Gratitude Journaling: Name your feelings. Write three things you’re thankful for daily.

    • “Take a second to pause and ask, ‘What am I really feeling?’ Naming it can help you process it.” and then following that up with a few things you're thankful for helps shape your perspective.

    3. Scripture Memorization: Start with Philippians 4:6-7 about peace and anxiety.

    4. Worship: Throw some worship music on and worship God.

    5. Talk it out: “Find someone you trust—a mentor, friend, or counselor—and share what you’re going through.”
