PHLY Sixers Postgame: 76ers embarrassed in blowout loss to Warriors

  • Summary

  • The Philadelphia ended the west coast portion of their road trip with an absolutely embarrassing defensive performance, falling to Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors 139-105 in their most lopsided loss of the season. The Sixers, who fell to 13-19 on the season after back-to-back losses, will finish off their six game road trip Saturday night in Brooklyn.

The Warriors, who came into the game having lost 13 of their last 17, shot an incredible 22-39 from 3-point range, led by Steph Curry, who finished with a perfect 8-8 from 3-point range on his way to a 30 point night. Jonathan Kuminga added 20 off the bench, and Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Dennis Schroder chipped in with 15 each in a balanced Warriors attack.

Joel Embiid led the Sixes with 28 points and 14 rebounds, with most of his damage being done in the third quarter. Paul George added 19, and Tyrese Maxey finished with just 14 points on 4-13 shooting.
