  • Ep. #346: Look to Christ, Mortify ‘Self’, Col. 3:2-5
    Dec 30 2024

    Send us a text

Today, we embark on a journey through Colossians 3, and we look at several things. We are to set our affections on things above, not on things here on this earth. We are dead to the world, and our lives are hidden with Christ. Christ is our life, and we will appear with Him in glory. Because of all these things, we are to mortify the members of our bodies, which means to put to death. There are quite a few things Paul said we must put to death, and we take a little time discussing all of them. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: How did the Jews end up killing Jesus? It seems like they were so meticulous in keeping the Law.
If you want a blessing today, go ahead and listen to this study!

  • Ep. #345: Seeking the Things Above, Col. 2:20-3:1
    Dec 23 2024

    Send us a text

Today, we discuss several interesting things, and among them was a huge paradox. Paul says that we are dead with Christ, but then he goes on to say that we are risen with Christ. We go over several of the difficult sayings within these verses, and we try to bring a little clarity to certain issues. The apostle told us to seek those things which are above, and we feel that this is still good for all of us today. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the question: When I got saved a few years ago, most of my friends that I had quit coming around me and calling me… this has bothered me a lot, so did I do something wrong?
I have some advice for you... seek those things that are above… and listen to this episode, we feel it will be a blessing to you.

  • Ep. #343: We Must Be Led By the Head, Col. 2:16-19
    Dec 16 2024

    Send us a text

Today, we discuss what Paul meant when he told us not to allow anyone to judge us in meat, drink, holy day, new moon, or even the sabbath. He said these things are only a shadow of what is to come, but he pointed us to Christ through these shadows. He then condemned the teachings of the false leaders who had arisen, and once again pointed us to Jesus, who he called our Head. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the question: Could you comment on 1Sam. 3:3? I have heard some say that Eli had allowed the fire to go out that was to always be burning, because the next verse and the context says from evening to morning… so, which is it?
We talk about all of this and more, so come on and give this study a listen now!

  • Ep. #342: Triumphant Over All That is Against Us, Col. 2:13-15
    Dec 9 2024

    Send us a text

Today, we tap into some wonderful things that we feel should bless your soul! We talk about how Jesus blotted out all of the ordinances that were against us, and how He nailed them to His cross. He also spoiled principalities and powers, and He did this in such a way, He made a show of them openly. Paul said Jesus triumphed in all of this, so we had a good discussion concerning what this means for us today. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: A co-worker of mine told me that the Bible was not written in order, and she says this is proof the Bible is not a truly God-given book… I am very disturbed about this, because I looked into this, and it is not in order… why is this?
We are very confident this study will be a help to you, so go ahead and listen to it today!

Today, we travel back in time to visit a figure from the past. We delve into the story of Mary, the woman who gave birth to God’s only begotten Son. We talk about her life, her struggles, and what she must have gone through. According to scripture, we know that her path was not the easiest, but we know she had the Lord with her, pardon my pun. We feel this episode is one we all can glean something from, but it is a little more geared towards women, more so than usual.
We pray it is a blessing to you as you listen in.

    Dec 2 2024

Today, we dive off into some deep studies, word meanings, and cross references of some of the best the Bible has to offer! We look at what it means for the fulness of the Godhead to dwell in Jesus bodily, how we are complete in Him, and the fact that He is the Head of all principality and power. We talk about what biblical circumcision means, and then we go into a good discussion regarding baptism. Friends, we once were dead in our sin, and now through Christ, we are dead to sin, and forgiven by Him. In our Q&A segment, we were asked the question: I have a friend who refuses to believe the Bible because he says it was written by men, so what can I say to him to help him see the truth?
