Please use this episode as a reminder and a reevaluation. Let us all give more generously.

Ralph Estep is a Christian, public accountant, podcast host, author, farmer, husband, and father.

Today, Ralph joins us to discuss faith-based finances. In particular, he gives us seven key principals from the Bible in regard to our lives, specifically, our finances. Our discussion leads us down the conversation of monetary value and luxury items versus God's love and doing good. He's not just repeating stuff from the Bible, though- Ralph followed down the secular path into emptiness.

Even if you're not faith-based, the financial practices discussed are useful for anyone to implement.

  • Self-Accountability And The Consequences Of The Suppression Of Faith
    Oct 21 2024

    Send us a text

I introduce my thoughts on a faith-based episode from Couple O' Nukes, reflecting on a conversation of accountability and the suppression of faith. I call us to hold ourselves accountable, and to understand that being held accountable by God requires humility and acceptance, as well as to be bold in our faith when facing others and public situations.

Robert J. Hunt, known as the Accountability Guy, joins us to talk about that- true accountability as something only attainable when we truly want it, and when we take responsibility ourselves.

While we emphasize that accountability is done solely by ourselves, we also discuss the importance of peer groups, whether you're attending or hosting. This includes the role those peers play as reminders of your own self-accountability, and the actions you may need to take.

We also get into the role faith plays in our life, having our faith boldly, and how the suppression of it can be harmful.

  • God's Vessels- Sinners Turned To Preachers
    Oct 14 2024

As discussed in my introduction to today's episode, it's a great reminder that God loves to use sinners as a testimony to His mercy and salvation, and that we are useful and important despite our sins.

James W. Smith was a very successful lawyer in North Carolina, until he let poker and living as a compulsive gambler take away everything that he had. Not just his money- he lost more than just that.

At his lowest point, Mr. Smith decided to rob a bank, in order to pay off his debt and go back to the life he had been living. Though he almost got away with it, he was caught and incarcerated. All while pursuing a relationship with God and the Church, eventually becoming a religious speaker and pastor.

These life events led to a lot of lessons and life-reflection, which ended up becoming the book Deal By Me, A Golden Opportunity Blown. Then, later in life, during the pandemic, Mr. Smith re-evaluated his life even more deeply, resulting in the book Deal By Me, A Self Evaluation.
