  • Episode 371 - Eddie Lee Sexton Part 2: Feral Family Road Trip
    Oct 17 2024

Incest runs in the family – and Eddie Lee Sexton’s depravity knew no bounds. From his own teenage daughters right down to the children he had fathered with his own kin – nobody was safe from him, or the sons he’d raised in his image.

With the authorities breathing down his neck, Sexton fled with his miserable menagerie in tow. By the time the law caught up to them, at least two people had been murdered in cold blood. Terrifyingly, Eddie Lee Sexton’s grip over his family was so strong that a conviction was far from certain. This is the story of how the fate of one of America’s vilest men hung on the testimony of a humble librarian.

  • Episode 370 - Eddie Lee Sexton Part 1: Amputee Jesus
    Oct 10 2024

Neglect has a smell – and it clung to the walls of 1849 Caroline Street, Stark County, Ohio. As a litany of horrors unfurled, the stench was dwarfed only by the darkness emanating from its owner – Eddie Lee Sexton.

Over the next two episodes, we reveal a multi-generational secret; one that haunted Sexton’s 12 children for the rest of their days. The DHS, the Police and the Sheriff’s department all had their suspicions for years. But in 1991, a tip came in and the race was on to get those children out of that house.

Great story telling

95% of the time I really enjoy this podcast. I've listened to almost every episode over the past few years. The stories are accurate and clearly narrated, if not a little formulaic. My only gripe is that 5% of the time when either of the hosts actually come off as arrogant/insufferable when trying to be funny about something, where they're not very informed.

Fantastic

I first found these ladies by chance. I was looking for a true crime podcast that wasn’t droll or borderline insulting to the victims. They are informative entertaining and although this is not their full time job they are very active on social media with their listeners. Continuing the discussion after the podcast has ended. They remind me of my sister and I discussing these cases but save us the time of researching. I don’t know if they will see this but thank you for all the effort you put into this podcast.

Best true crime EVER

In my 30 adult years of true crime obsession, this is my favorite of any show/podcast. The witty banter and sarcastic skepticism is pure gold.
So many shows are dumbed down and/or over explained, so every simple mind can easily follow along. But these hosts are intelligent with an above average (it would seem based on other shows) ability to reason. They each write sections for the other to read, so legitimate, interesting, questions come up and are explained. They look up and read facts that you actually want to know or find interesting even if you already know the basics of. They give you links/sources of you need or want additional information. But don't waste your time explaining things every true crime fan has heard a million times.
The best is the regular comedic breaks from the macabre. Sarcastic responses to statements from media, law enforcement, suspects, etc. Hilariously unexpected language in an English accent is just a bonus.
They were several years in by the time I discovered them, and I listened to nothing else until completely caught up.

Absolutely love this one!

Well researched and entertaining. The occasional detours from the stories are also much appreciated.

duh....

If you are cooking, your hands might be greasy or messy and that would be all the more reason to "ask a clock" the time... I do it almost everyday. I don't have to look elsewhere or diety my phone. Makes sense, no? I don't really care or know who done it just because I'm probably not I formed enough, but ,girls do you not cook? lol.. I guess not often .... I had to write this , it was making me crazy 🤪
