In this chapter there is much to learn.

We see the transfiguration and we learn that our prayer and quiet time leads to greater faith and power in Him.

We also see the danger of sin and the warning to not engage in it and a heavy warning to not teach it to those around us.

Keep Salty but staying close to Christ.

This is a powerful chapter of scripture. Why do some reject Jesus even though they have ears that physically hear? Are you willing to pick up the cross and stand with Jesus and His Word even when popular culture are against you.

This Psalm is a prayer of blessing on Solomon and also foreshadows the return of our Lord. When Solomon and Israel became blessed it did not equate to their devotion to God. May in blessing or in want we remain faithful to worship God.

In this chapter Jesus has a run in with the Pharisee’s who are notorious for adding their traditions to the Bible even when their own hearts are not right. Insight into these manmade traditions is given.

Jesus was largely rejected in his hometown. You are not alone. Love your family but just as Jesus moved on, in order for you to be fruitful you may need to.

Also in this chapter is Jesus’ example of getting away from people and being strengthened from on high to minister to people again.

Jesus is still doing miracles today. One of the most frequent I see is His miracle of transforming people’s lives. When we have been transformed there will be some desire to help others discover this same great news.

The parable of the sower. A wonderful chapter. God desires we would be willing to hear but he is also willing to judge those who are not willing.

The way to “be with Him” today is to be with Him in sprit, with Him in the Word and to be with Him in the fellowship of the believers.

Oh the privilege we have in being in the family of God.
