  • Hi, I'm Clare, the voice behind all the sleepifying audios here at Sleep Like a Log. I started this podcast to help people reduce their sleep and nighttime anxiety. As a counsellor and hypnotherapist, I've worked with many people with anxiety caused by loss, stress, trauma and well, life! I also understand first-hand how anxiety can affect sleep. As you know, when sleep is disrupted, so MUCH MORE in our lives is affected too.
    Our sleep-inducing, anxiety-reducing soothers, meditations and visualisations include: mindful breathing, body scans, progressive muscle relaxations, positive thought engagement, the Elman technique, affirmations, ASMR, nature sounds, colour therapy, thought-entanglements and many more, all designed to help in the reduction of anxiety and the induction of gorgeously deep sleep😴

    This recording is designed to help you drift back off to sleep if you have woken up in the night. Often when we have anxiety we can wake up, for what we feel is no reason. So this recording will guide you gently through a simple, mindful progressive body scan to help you drift back off, feeling safe, relaxed and reassured.

    PLEASE READ THIS FIRST before settling down to fall asleep.

    If you wake in the night:

    · Resolve what has woken you up

    · Keep lights off, but use a light if you need to leave your bed

    · Keep eyes closed unless leaving your bed

    · Don’t check the time

    · If you’re still awake after 20 minutes go to another room and do something boring for a while and then return to bed when you’re ready to sleep again

    · Have this recording ready to play & then start this recording
